RESOLUTION NUMBER 99-08
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION
BOARD; AND CONTAINING FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE
SUBJECT.
WHEREAS, a certain person has indicated a desire and willingness to serve as a
member of the Parks and Recreation Board~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE:
Section 1 ~ That the fonowing person .is appointed to serve as a rnelnber of the Parks
and Recreation Board for a specific term of the specific position indicated below, under and
subject to Chapter 2, as last amended by Ordinance 1561.

Section 2~ All resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of the conflicts only~
Section 3. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other palt of
this resolution or the application thereof to any person or CirCIUTIstance, shall ever be held to be
invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, the renlainder of this
resolution and the application of such word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other
part of this resolution to any other persons or circunlstances shall not be affected therebY1
Section 4. The City Council officially finds, deterlnines and declares that a
sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of each lneeting at which this
resolution was discussed, considered or acted upon was given in the Inanner required by the
Texas Open Meetings Act, as amended, and that each such Ineeting has been open to the public
as requ.ired by law at all tioles during such discussion, cons ideration and action. The City
Counci 1 ratifies, approves and COnfirlTIS such notices and the contents and posting thereof.
