CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL SESSION
SATURDAY, JULY 28, 2001
MUNICIPAL BUILDING
3800 UNIVERSITY BLVD.
8:00 A.M.
The City Council convened in Special Session in the Municipal Building Conference
Room (3800 University Blvd.) on July 28, 2001, with the following members present:
Mayor Lewis presiding, Council Members May, Farley, Griffin, and Jackson. The City
Manager and City Secretary were also present.
The notice for this meeting was posted in accordance with the Texas Government Code,

Chapter 551, on the 24 day of July 2001 at 6:20 p.m.
City Council orientation.
The City Council considered matters related to team building and goal setting.
Goals discussed were fiscal responsibility, public safety, communications and
development.
Council Member May left the meeting at 10:00 a.m.
The following members of the City Staff joined the meeting at 11:30 a.m.: City Attorney,
Police Chief, Finance Director, Parks and Recreation Director, Public Works Director and
the newly appointed Public Works Director.
Adjournment.
With no further business to come before the City Council at this time, the Special Session
adjourned at 12:30 p.m.
