HomeMy WebLinkAbout051605S CC Min CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL SESSION MONDAY, MAY 16, 2005 MUNICIPAL BUILDING 3800 UNIVERSITY BLVD. 5:30 P.M. The City Council convened in Special Session in the Bill Watson Conference Room (3800 University Blvd.) on May 16, 2005, with the following members present: Mayor Pro Tem Segal presiding and Council Member Woods. The City Secretary and City Attorney were also present. Mayor Ballanfant, Council Members Farley and Fogler were absent. The notice for this meeting was posted in accordance with the Texas Government Code, th Chapter 551, on the 13 day of May 2005 at 3:40 p.m. 2005 General Election. Matters related to the 2005 General Election including Ordinance No. 1804. Mayor Pro Tem Segal read the caption of Ordinance No. 1804 as follows: An ordinance canvassing the returns and declaring the results of the General Election held in the City of West University Place, Texas on May 7, 2005; containing findings and provisions relating to the subject; and declaring an emergency. Copies of Ordinance No. 1804, in the form proposed for adoption, were available in the Conference Room. A motion was made by Council Member Woods, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Segal, to adopt Ordinance No. 1804 on first and final reading. A vote was taken on the motion with the following result: Voting Aye: Mayor Pro Tem Segal and Council Member Woods Voting Nay: None Absent: Mayor Ballanfant, Council Members Farley and Fogler The motion passed. Adjournment. With no further business to come before the City Council at this time, a motion was made by Council Member Woods, seconded by Mayor Prop Tem Segal, to adjourn. The Council meeting adjourned at 5:32 p.m.
