But I would particularly like to thank the guys that ran for office that are not here: Brian City Council Special Session, June 4, 2007 Hoogendam, Jason Powers and Philip Bryant. Those guys are really great people and they deserve to be up here too. They worked hard and I would like to thank them." Council Member Cohen: "I would like to thank everybody and to tell you that I look forward to continuing to work for the City, working with the great city staff and with these folks up here. I think it is going to be a good two years." Council Member Talianchich: "I would like to thank the people that voted for me and the ones that did not vote for me, I will serve you just as well. Thank you." Council Member Fry: "When I first talked about running I called a person that I respect highly in this neighborhood for his political skills and what he has done in a broader area. During the conversation he said thank you for doing this. Coming from him that meant a lot to me. I hope at the end of this course of business he will say the same thing, thank you for doing this. Thank you" Mayor Kelly: "I would just like to reiterate everything that everybody said up here today and I would like to thank again all of the voters that voted and all of the people who worked to help myself and for all the other people who worked in this election for whoever they worked for. I particularly like to thank my wife. When I first told her my intentions of thinking about doing this she was rather surprised and I told her I found my box up in the attic that had all myoid stuff from 14 years ago. Surprisingly, she came around pretty quick to it but she did say that when this election is over she was going to burn that box. So I am going to have to find someplace else to hide it just in case. I'm really happy to see everyone here tonight. I think we have a very good council. I think there will be a lot of lively debate among everybody and I think that is good. I appreciate all of you coming tonight. Mayor Kelly invited everyone to stay for the reception.
