Larger items may be stacked no greater than two 4' x 4' x 3' piles with limbs no greater than 3" in diameter. ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED COMPOSTABLE PLASTIC BAGS USE KRAFT PAPER BAGS ONLY USE: No clothingor linens Use donation programs No food or liquid Empty all containers Do not bag recyclables in plastic bags No garbage No plastic bags Recycle at retail store bins: Randall’s, Kroger, HEB No tanglers No hoses, wires, chains, or electronics RECYCLING GUIDELINES2021 OR Place all items in your BLUE BIN, cardboard box, or paper bag. NO PLASTIC BAGS. Need an additional blue bin? Stop by Public Works, 3826 Amherst Street, 7:30 am–5:30 pm. For additional information regarding acceptable and unacceptable items, scan the provided QR code. Metal Coat Hangers: Many local cleaners. Long and Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs: Compact only: Home Depot. Long and CFL’s: Environmental Service Center with West U voucher (see below). Battery Plus Bulbs (fees may apply). Latex and Enamel Paint: Environmental Service Center along with West U voucher (see below). Textiles, Pillows, Shoes, Clothing, Toys, Sheets, Towels, and Other Household Textiles: ATRS donation bin located near the corner of OST and Kirby. (Items should be clean and dry.)
