CITY COUNCIL ACTION MINUTES
The City Council of the City of West University Place, Texas, met in a workshop session on Friday, June
18, 2021, in the Municipal Building, 3800 University, West University Place.
Call to Order. Mayor Sample called the meeting to order at approximately 6:06 p.m. Councilmembers
Montgomery, Barnes, Bell, and Carroll were present. Staff present were City Manager Beach, City Attorney
Bounds, Assistant to the City Manager Thompson, and Police Chief Walker
Consultant Lyle Sumek was also in attendance.
1. City Council Strategic Visioning and Goals Workshop
Matters related to the third and final City Council workshop on strategic visioning and goals.
Lyle Sumek led part three of three workshops on strategic visioning for the newly elected City officials.
Council will review and finalize its goals and top priorities resulting from the workshop at its meeting on
July 12, 2021.
2. Adjourn
With no other business before the Council, Mayor Sample adjourned the workshop at 9:09 p.m.
