HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1426 - ORD Amending ORD 1412 Which Approved Budget on Nov25, 1991 ORDINANCE NUMBER 1426 ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 1412 WHICH APPROVED THE BUDGET OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1 1992, AND ADOPTED ON NOVEMBER 25, 1; CONTAINING FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, as provided in the City Charter, the Ci Council is authori to transfer moneys within budgeted funds, and the City Council is also authorized to make emergency appropriations to meet pressing needs for public expenditures in order to protect the public health, safety and welfare; and WHEREAS, THE City Council desires to amend the current year's budget in to effect such transfers and to reflect such emergency appropriations; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that all of such changes in the budget are made for municipal purposes, as allovved by state la\'l; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIN PLACE, TEXAS: THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY Section 1. That the budget of the City of West University Place for the 12-month period beginning January 1, 1992, and ending December 31, 1992 as heretofore adopted be, and it is hereby, amended for additional expenditures and revenues, from the General Fund as shown by the following schedule: Additional Expenditures - General Fund City Coune il Finance Streets Recreation $ 143,900.00 114 ,095.00 169,080.00 183,650.00 Addi.ttonal Expenitures - viater Sewer Fund Water $ 112,305.00 Ordinance Number 1426 Original 1 General Fund Expenditures Amended Total General Fund Expenditures $ 6,1 ,900.00 7,154,035.00 Original Total Water Sewer Fund Expenditures Amended Total Water Fund Expenditures 2,546,550. 2,658,855.00 Original 1 Amended Total Bu dget penditures Expenditures ,690,000. 13,786,440,00 Section 2. ADDITIONAL INCOME. The City Council hereby determines it advisable to amend such budget to increase the total expenditure also increase the total anticipated income so that the total means of financing budget s 11 equal in amount the aggregate proposed expenditures. Ordinance Number 1426 , t Section 5. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict only. Section 6. The City Council officially finds, determines and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of each meeting at which this ordinance was discussed, considered or acted upon was given in the manner required by the Open Meetings Law, TEX. REV. CIV. STAT. ANN. art. 6252-17, as amended, and that each such meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all times during such discussion, consideration and action. The City Council ratifies, approves and confirms such notices and the contents and posting thereof. Section 7. The public importance of this measure and the requirements of the law create an emergency and an urgent public necessity requiring that this Ordinance be passed and take effect as an emergency measure, and a state of emergency is hereby declared, and this Ordinance is accordingly passed as an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force immediately from and after its passage and signature.
