WHEREAS, the City Counci 1 or the City of West University Pl ace, Texas, has on certain dates and occas'i ons found it necessary, worthwhile and expedient to expend funds of the city for the best interest and ,welfare of its citizens for items which we're not considered, nor included, 'in the original budget; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City 'Council to increase various items of income and expenditure known to be in excess of the amount provided. for'in the original budget, so that the amount of additional expenditure may be offset by a like amount of additional income. NOW, THEREFORE, [1 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY, PLACE, TEXAS:, ' Section 1. That the budget of the City of West Unlversity Place for the 12-month period beginning January 1, 1986, and ending December 31, 1986, as' heretofore adopted be, and it :i s hereby ,amended to provide foraddi ti ona.lexpendituresand revenues, from the General Fund and Water Sewer Fund as shown by the following schedule: Additional Expenditures - General Fund , Genera 1 Services City Hall Relocation and Remodeling Expense $ 200,000.00 Solid Waste Legislative $ 89,000.00 $ 30,000.00 $ 16,500.00 Additional Garbage Truck Solid Waste Study .' \ ~ . .~ I Professional Services ~ \ \ Li ""..' ADDITIONAL INCOME. The City Council hereby determines it advisable to revise and alter the items of the budget to increase the total expenditure and also increase the total anticipated i.ncome so that the total means of financing the budget shall equal in amount the aggregate propose expenditures. Section 3. The additional income required for revisions of the budget is hereby appropriated and approved by increasing the revenue accounts and available cash ~f the General Fund and Water Sewer Fund as shown by the following schedule: Additional Revenue and' Income - General Fund Loan Proceeds Insurance Proceeds Use - Unreserved Fund Balance $ 200,000.00 $.- 48,500.00 $ 87,000.00 Additional Income Water Sewer Fund Use - Working Capital $ 190,000.00 r I I I o il '-----' ~ r--.., I ( I ' I ! This ordinante shall take effect and be in force immediately from and after its passage and approval as required by law. Section 5. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict only. n ~ Section 6. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, shall ever be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, the remainder of this ordinance and the application of such word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of this ordina(1ce to any other persons or circumstances shall not be affected thereby. Section 7. The City Council officially finds, determines and declares that a sufficient written notice nf the date, hour, place and subject of each meeting at which this ordinance was discussed, considered or acted upon was given in the manner required by the Open Meetings Law, TEX. REV. CIV. STAT. ANN. art. 6252-17 ,as amended, 'and that each such meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all times during such discussion, consideration and action.
