HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1264 - ORD Adopting an Official Zoning for West U 91 ORDINANCE NUMBER 1264 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AN OFFICIAL ZONING MAP FOR THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS; AND CONTAINING FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS . RELATED TO THE SUBJECT. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS: ,,-----,-v SectionL The City Council hereby adopts the official zoning map of the City of West University Place in the form attached to this ordinance and incorporated herein by this reference for all purposes. Such adoption is subject tQ all provisions of this ordinance and to the provisions stated on such map. Section 2. It is not the intention of the City Council, by the adoption of said map, to change any zoning district boundary or any other rule or regulation applicable to persons or properties within the city. Instead, it is the intention of the City Council, to illustrate zoning districts as heretofore established. .~ \ \ J i Section 3. This ordinance, and the attached zoning map, are subject to all provisions of the ordinances, resolutions, regulations, and orders of the City of West University Place, and such ordinances and resolutions, regulations and orders (to the extent applicable) shall govern and control in the event of arty conflict o,r inconsistency with this ordinance or with the attached map. Section 4.. The attached map supercedes the map iidopted by Ordinance No. 1243, passed October 14, 1985, which ordinance related to a comprehensive plan for the City of West University Place. ~ I r I ' I l \ , '-..---/ Section 5. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section nr other part of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, shall ever be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, the remainder of this ordinance and the application of such word;phra,se, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or other part of this ordinance to any other persons or circumstances shall not be affected thereby. Section 6. The City Council officially finds, determines and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of each meeting at which this ordinance was discussed, considered or acted upon was given in the manner required by the Open Meetings Law, TEX.
