ORDINANCE NUMBER 1246
AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AND ASSESSING AN AD VALOREM TAX ON ALL TAXABLE
PROPERTY WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS, FOR THE YEAR 1985 PROVIDING THE BASIS OF ASSESSMENT OF
APPRAISED VALUE AND PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION THEREOF AT THE RATE
OF $0.313 ON THE ONE HUNDRED ($100.00) DOLLAR ASSESSED VALUATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That there is hereby levied and assessed against
all taxable property, both real and personal, within the corporate
limits of the City of West University Place, Texas, and there shall be
collected by such city, a tax of $0.313 on the one-hundred ($100.00)
dollar assessed tax valuation for the year 1985.
Section 2. Such tax is hereby levied and assessed in
accordance with the terms and provisions of Section 8.07 of Article
VIII of the City of West University Place City Charter and the
applicable statutes of the State of Texas, such levy and assessment is
made for the following purposes to finance a certain portion of the
1986 budget, to wit:
(A) For current expenses and operation of the
General Fund and its various departments

(B) For General Debt Service Fund to pay the
principal, interest,and fiscal agent's
fees on $3,950,000 bond issues of the
City
$ 0.041
Total Tax Rate
$ 0.313
Section 3. That the Tax Assessor and Collector for the City
of West University Place, Texas, is hereby directed to assess and
collect taxes on all of the property, both real and personal, wi thin
the corporate limits of the City of West University Place, Texas, on
the basis of 100% of appraised valuations as herein provided.
