AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE AMOUNTS OF FEES TO BE CHARGED
BY THE BUILDING INSPECTOR FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION, REMODEL-
ING OR REPAIRS, I'NSTALLATION OF HEATING AND COOLING EQUIP-
MENT, CONSTRUCTION OF SWIMMING POOLS, DRIVEWAYS, ELECTRICAL,
PLUMBING AND VARIOUS OTHER IMPROVEMENTS; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS:
Secti.on 1. That the fees to be charged by the Building Inspector
for new construction, remodeling or repairs, installation of heatin9and
cooling equipment, construction of swimming pools; driveways, electrical,
plumbin9 and va~ious other improvements shall be in accordance with the
following schedule:

Motor control equipment is included in motor fees. When future motor
outlets are installed they shall be charged for one-half the regular
motor rates applying, the other one-half shall be paid at the time the
motors are i nsta 11 ed.

Permanently connected electric appliances and equipment of any nature not

Temporary installments such as work saws, floor surfacing machines, paint
spraying apparatus, and the like, shall be charged for at the rate of ten
($10.00) dollars per installation, plus the regular service and meter
loop charges.
Temporary lighting installations shall be charged for at the rate of
ten ($10.00) dollars per installation, plus the regular service and
meter loop charges. Also includes temporary saw pole.
ADDITIONS to old work-shall be charged for at the same rate as new work.
MINIMUM INSPECTION FEE shall be twenty ($20.00) dollars.
MOVING AND RELOCATING ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT authorized to be done by a
maintenance electrician and master electrician for which a permit fee
is not otherwise provided for in this section, the minimum inspection
fee shall apply.

NO FEE shall be charged for routine re-inspection of electrical installation;
however, when the inspector is required to make additional trips, after two
(2) trips, to the premises as a result of being unable to perform inspection
at time requested, a charge of fifteen ($15.00) dollars will be made for such
inspection. .
NOTE: In the event an electrician fails to obtain permit or fails to notify the
Inspection Department of work being done, DOUBLE PERMIT FEE is to be
charged.

In event plumber fails to obtain permit prior to commencement of work, DOUBLE
PERMIT FEE is subject to be charged.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval.
