BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS:
Section I. That there is hereby levied and assessed against all
taxable property, both real and personal, within the corporate limits of the
City of West University Place, Texas, and there shall be coll~cted by such
city, a tax of $1. 42 on the one-hundred ($100.00) dollar ass~ssed tax valua-
tion for the year 1979.
Section 2. Such tax is hereby levied and assessed:in accordance
with the terms and provisions of Section I of, Article XXI'of the City of West
University Place City Charter ~nd the applicable'Statutes of the State of
Texas, such levy and assessment is made fo~ the following purposes to finance
a certain portion of the 1980 budget, to~wit: '
(A) For the upkeep and maintenance of the Department
of Health and Sanitation

(B) For current expenses' and operation of the Gen~' ,
eral Fund and its various departments,

(C) For Tax Revenue'Sinking Fund to'pay the
princip'al, interest and fiscal agent 's fees
on $1,500,000 bond issue of the City

Section 3. That the Tax Assessor and Collector for the City of
West University Place, Texas is hereby directed to assess and collect taxes
on all of the property, both real and personal, within the corporate limits
of the City of West University Place, Texas on the basis of 70% of appraised
valuation as herein provided.
