ORDINANCE NUMBER 1099
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONTROL OF DIRECTION OF
VEHICULAR TRAFFIC AND PROHIBITING PARKING QN,A CERTAIN
SECTION OF BYRON STREET; PROHIBITING PARKING ON A CERTAIN
SECTION OF WEST POINT STREET; ESTABLISHING A ,FREIGHT 'CURB
LOADING ZONE ON CERTAIN SECTIONS OF CASE STREET; DEFINING
TERMS; ',FIXING THE PENALTY. FOR THE VIOLATION OF SUCH REGU-
LATIONS; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR
PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That it shall be' uI)lawful to drive any vehicle in an
easterly direction in the 4100 block of Byron Street.
Section 2. That it shallb~ unlawful to stop, stand or park any
vehicle on the south side of Byron Street in the 4100 block.
Section, 3. That it shall be unlawful to stop, stand or park any
vehicle on the west side of West Point Street between Case Street and Byron
Street.
Section 4. That, it shall be unlawful to stop, stand or park any vehi-
cle on the south side of Case Street from a point beginning ninety (90') feet
east from the intersection of the. 'curb ,line of Case Street and West Point Street
and extending' easterly a distranceof onehundted twenty':'five (125') feet there-
from, providing, however, that vehicles used in unloading and delivery or pick-
tl-p and loading of materials shall be permitted to park only for the period of
time necessary for the expedious-unloading and delivery or pickup and loading
of materials. '
Section 5. Signs shall be posted giving notice of the direction of
travel and the "No Parking" zones.
Section 6. Any person who vlo1ates the provlslons of this ordinance
shall, upon conviction, be fined any amount not less than $1.00 and not to
exceed $200.00.
Section 7. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with
the provisions of this ordinance, insofar as the same may conflict, are hereby
repealed.
Section 8. This ordinance ~hall become effective immediately upon its
passage and approval by the Mayor and publication as required by law. '
