PLANNING' COMMISSION RECOMMENDING AN AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE
NU~ffER 111 TO REZONE LOT 1, EAST 75' x 125' OF LOT 2, WEST
75 x 125 OF lOT 2, AND THE SOUTH 125' OF LOT 2, BLOCK 93,
WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE 2ND ADDITION, TO PERMIT CONSTRUCTION
OF TOWNHOUSES/CLUSTERHOUSES; TO CONSIDER AMENDING THE DEFINI-
TION OF IIFAMILYII; PROVIDING FOR A JOINT HEARING ON SAID DATE
BY THE CITY COMMISSION AND ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION;
DIRECTING THAT NOTICE OF SAID ,HEARING BE GIVEN AS PROVIDED
BY LAW; RE~UIRING THAT A,COPY, OF THE REPORT OF THE ZONING
AND PLANNING COMMISSION,:Bf-FILED IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY
SECRETARY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Section 1. That a public hearing shall be he1~ at 7:30 p.m.,
January 14, 1974, in the Ci ty Hall of the Ci'ty of West Uni vers i ty P1 ace, Texas,
located at 380'0 University Boulevard, to consider the report of the Zoning and
Planning Commission recommending that Zoning Ordinance Number 111 of said City
be amended to rezone Lot 1, East 75' x 1251 of Lot 2, West 751 x 1251 of Lot 2,
and the South 125' of Lot 2, Bleck 93, West University Place 2nd Addition, in
the City of West University Place" to permit the construction of townhouses/ U'" ,
clusterhouses; and to consider an amendment of the definition of IIfami1yll as
contained in Section 2(9) of Ordinance Number 111. '
Section 2. That such hearing shall be a joint hearing before the
City Commission and the Zoning and Planning Conmission of said city.
Section 3. The City Secretary shall publish notice of such hearing
in the official paper of the City of West University Place, Texas, at least
fifteen (15) days before the date of such hearing and in addition thereto, shall
mail notice of such hearing to the owners of property lying within 200 feet of
any point of the above described"lots; such owners shall be determined according
to the current tax roll of the City of West University Place, Texas, and the
mailing of such notice shall be made at least fifteen (15) days prior to the
time set for the hearing. '
Section 4. A copy of the report of the Zoning and Planning Commission
shall be filed in the office of the City Secretary and shall be available for
inspection by any interested party.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage and approval.
