ORDINANCE NUMBER 1021
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE PROVIDING
FUNDS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1975 AND END-
INg D~CEMBER 31, 1975 BY ,APPROVING THE ~BUDGET FOR SAID PERIOD
AND APPROPRIATING THE NECESSARY FUNDS OUT OF THE GENERAL AND
OTHER REVENUES OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE FOR SAID
YEAR FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF THE VARIOUS DEPART-
MENTS AND FOR VARIOUS ACTIYITIES, }\ND IMPROVEMENTS OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, as requi red by the Ci ty. _Char:t,er", the budget hiiS been pre-
pared and submitted to theCCity Commission with estimates of expenditures and
revenues of all city departments and activities for the year b~ginnJng
January 1, 1975 and ending December 31, 1975.
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing upon said budget has been duly
and legally published; and
WHEREAS, said public hearing has beent:le1dand full and final con-
sideration given said budget. '
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE :CITYCOMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
WEST UNIVERSIry PLACE, TEXAS: '

Section 1. That for the purpose of providing the funds necessary
and proposed to be expended in the budget for said Cfty for the fisaal year
beginning January 1, 1975, and ending December 31, 1975, the budget was pre-
pared and submitted to the City Commission for its consideration 'and approval,
and that said budget in the total amount of $1,884,341.00!be, and the same is
hereby, approved and the available resources and revenues of said city are
hereby appropriated for the maintenance and operation of the various departments
of the government of the city and the various activities and improvements as
set forth in said budget. .. , .
5.ecti.on 2. That the said budget of the City of West University Place,
Texas, for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1975 and ending December 31,
1975, an exact copy of which is marked "Exhibit A" arid made a'~part hereof for
all purposes the same as if it were copied in full herein, is hereby approved
and adopted by the City Commission of the City of West University Place, Texas,
as the budget for the city for the fiscal year 1975.
Section 3. This ordinance approving and adopting a budget for the
twelve month period hereinabove specified is made in all things in accordance
with the terms and provisions of the City Charter of the City of West Univer-
sity Place, Texas. .
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force inllne-
diately from and after its passage and approval as required by law.
