ORDINANCE NUMBER 1022
AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AND ASSESSING AN AD VALOREM TAX ON ALL
TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS, FOR THE YEAR 1974; PROVIDING
THE BASIS eF ASSESSMENT OPAPPRAISED VALUE AND PROVIDING FOR
THE COLLECTION THEREOF AT THE RATE OF $1.50 ON THE ONE HUN-
DRED ($100.00) ASSESSED VALUATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE, CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That there is hereby levied and assessed against all
taxable property, both real and personal, within the corporate limits of the
City of West University Place, Texas, and there shall be collec~ed by such '
city, a tax of $1.50 on the one-hundred ($100.00) assessed tax valuation for
the year' 1974.
Section 2. Such tax is hereby levied and assessed in accordance
with the terms and provisions of Section 10f Article XXI of the City of West
University Place City Charter and the applicable Statutes of the State of Texas,
such levy and assessment is made far the following purposes, to-wit:
. (A) For the upkeep and ma i ntenance of the Department $ 0.05
of Health and Sanitation

Section 3. That the'Tax Assessor ana Collector for the City of West
University Place, Texas is hereby directed to assess and call ect taxes on all
of the property, both real and pe~sona 1, wi thi n thecorparate limi ts of the
City of West University Place, Texas on the basis of 50% of appraised value
for the year 1974, such oasis of assessmentbein9 required ta meet the proposed
expenditures of the General and Health Funds for the fiscal year 1975 and col-
lection of taxes thereof at the rate of $1.50 on the one-hufldred ($100.00)
assessed valuation as herein provided.
