OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS BY ADDITION TH~RETOOF
SECTION 6-29; ADOPTING THE WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE STANDARD
HOUSING CODE, IN THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS,
ESTABLISHING MINIMUM STANDARDSGQVERNING THE USE, OCCUPANCY
AND MAINTENANCE.OF DWELLINGS, DWELLING UNIT,S AND ACCESSORY
STRUCTURES ; ESTABLISHING MINIMUM STANDARDS GOVERNING sup-
PLIED UTILITIES AND FACILITIES, ANI) OTHER PHYSICAL THINGS
AND CONDITIONS ESSENTIAL TO, MAKE DWELLING SAFE , SANITARY,
AND FIT FOR HUMAN HABITATION; ESTABLISHING MINIMUM STAN-
DARDS GOVERNING THE CONDITION AND 'MAINTENANCE OF DWELLINGS
AND ACCESSORY "STRUCTURES; FIXING CERTAIN RESPONS.IBILITIES'
AND DUTIES OF OWNERS AND. OCCUPANTS; PROVIDING.FOR..APPEALS,
TO THE-CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE CITY COMMISSION AND
FIXING ITS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES; AUTHORIZING THE
INSPECTION OF DWELLINGS' AND ACCESSORY STRUCTURES;' PROVI D-
ING FOR THE CONDEMNATION OF ALL BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES
DEEMED UNFIT FOR HUMAN HABITATION AND USE; AND FIXING A
PENALTY :BYFINEOF NOT'LESS THAN $l~OO, NOR MORE THAN,
$200.00;' FOR EACH DAY I SVIOLATION. ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY .COMMISSION .oF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS: :
Section 1. ' That<the Code ofeOrdinances of the Ci ty of West Univer-
sity Place, Texas, is hereby amended to add a Section to be numbered 6-29,
which said Section reads as fol1Qws~
IISection 6~29: There is hereby adopted by the City .for the purpose
of establishing minimum standard~ gQverning the use, occupancy and maintenance
of dwellings that certain housing cQde known as the West University.P1ace Stan-
dard Housing Code of which not less ,than three (3) certified copies hav~ been
and now are filed in the office of the City Secretary ,and the same is hereby
adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein, and from
the date on which this ordinance'shalr take effect, the provisions thereof
shall be controlling in connection with the matters covered therein.1I
Section 2. This ordinance- Shall' take effect 'and be in force from
and after December 1, 1973.
