ORDINANCE 'NUMBER 993
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBER 972, CHANGING
THE RATES FOR MOWING VACANT LOTS; . PROVIDING A BEGINNING
DATE OF FEBRUARY 1, 1973 FOR NEW RATES; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY,COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS:' -~ .-~ >'"
Section 1. That Ordinance Number 972 passed on December 27, 1971,
is hereby expressly repealed and the subject matter of said Ordinance is
hereafter controlled and governed by the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 2. That the following charges be plaeed into effect for
mowing and cleaning of vacant lots in the City of West University Place:
$0.01 per square foot with a minimum charge of
$60.00 onaan annual basis,
and that there be levied a $5.00 fee for the filing of a lien where the
property owner refuses to clean the property or pay for same and the city
is required to perform this service with its emplogees and equipment, and
that there will be an additional $5.00 fee for the release of said lien.
Section 3. These rates to become effective Bebruary 1, 1973.
