BLOCK 16, WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE FmST ADDITION INTO TWO LOTS: ( 1) 100 x 140 FEET 'TO FRONT, ON V ANDERBILTAND (2) 60 x 100 FEET TO FRONT ON PITTSBURG; FINDING THAT" A "PUBLIC BEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF CON - SIDERING AN AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE NO. III HAS BEEN DULY AND lEGALLY HELD; APPROVING AND ADOPrING THE REPORTED RECOMMENDATION OF TEE ZONING AND PLANNING BOARD THAT ORDINANCE NO. 111 BE AMENDED SO AS TO PERMIT SAID SUB- DIVISION; FINDING THAT ORDINANCE NO. 111 OF TEE CJ:TY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE SHOULD BE AMENDED SO AS TO PERMIT SUCH SUBDIVISION; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. lli PERMITTING SUCH SUBDIVISION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WBEREAS, Mr. L. D. Crossman has heretofore duly and properly re<luested per- mission for the subdivision of Lot 7, Block 10, West University Place First Addition into two lots, one being 100 x 140 feet to front on Vanderbilt Street and one being 60 x 100 feet to front on PittsburgStreet; and WHEREAS, the Zoning and Planning Board of the City of West University Place, having considered the said re<luest of Mr.L. D. Crossman, has sub- mitted its recommendation that the same should be granted subject to a public hearing before the City Commission of said City;. and WHEREAS, proper notice of such hearing was given by publication in the Houston Chronic~e on June 24, 1959 and notice was mailed to each of the owners of property within 200 feet of the aforesaid lots; and WHEREAS, pursuant to such notice a public hearing-was held by the City Commission at the City Hall, 3800 University Blvd., at 7:30 o'clock p.m., Monday, July 13, 19;59; and WHEREAS, The City Commission is of the opinion that-the re<luest of Mr. L. D. Crossman should be granted: NOW, TEEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIJiJED BY THECrry COMMISSION OF TEE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS: Section 1. That the City Commission of the City of West University Place hereby finds and determines that all formalities re<luired by Ordinance No. III of said City relative to the request of Mr. L. D. That the report ana recommendation of the Zoning and Planning Board relative to the request of Mr. L. D. Crossman, be, and it is hereby, approved and adopted. Section 3. That Section 24 of Ordinance No. 111 of the City of West University Place, Texas is hereby amended by the addition of a sub-para- graph to be known as sub-paragraph No. 43'to, read as follows: " (43) Lot 7, Block TO, West University Place First Addition is hereby subdivided into two lots: one being 100'x 140 feet to front on Vanderbilt and one being 60 x 100 feet to front on Pittsburg and that Ordinance No. 111 be amended to permit subdivision of the said lot into two lots, subject to a five (5) foot easement being dedicated from the SE corner of Lot 7, Block 10, West University Place First Addition West for a distance of 60 feet. " Section 4. This Ordinance will take effect and be in force immediately from and after its passage and approval. PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 9th DAY OF MAY, 1960.
