AN ORDINANCE FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT EACH AND ALL OF
THE PROCEEDINGS HAVE BEEN HAD AND ALL THINGS DONE PREREQUISITE
TO TEE HOLDING OF A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE AMENDING
OF ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 111 OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS SO AS TO PERlv.IIT THE SUBDIVISION OF LOT 8, BLOCK 20,
WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE FIRST ADDITION; FINDING THAT A PUBLIC
BEARING FOR TEE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING AN AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE
NO. 111 HAS BEEN DULY AND LEGAIJ..Y HELD; APPROVING AND ADOPTING
TEE REPORTED RECOMMKNDATION OF THE ZONING AND PLANNING BOARD
THAT ORDINANCE NO. 111 BE AME:NDED SO AS TO PERMIT SAID SUB -
DIVISION; FINDING TImT ORDINANCE NO. 111 OF TEE CITY OF WEST
UNIVERSITY PLACE SHOULD BE SO AMENDED; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
111 PERMrrTING SUCH SUBDIVISION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Mr. H. W. Strickland has heretofore duly and properly requested
permission for the subdivision of Lot 8, Block 20, West University Place
First Addition into two lots, one of said lots being 100 x 130 feet to
front on University Blvd., and the other lot to be 90 x 100 feet to front
on Brompton; and
WEEREAS, the Zoning and Planning Board of the City of West University Place,
having considered the said request of Mr. H. W. Strickland, has submitted
its recommendation that the same should be granted sub,ject to a public
hearing before the City Commission of said City; and

WHEREAS, a proper notice of such hearing was given by publication in the
Houston Chronicle and notice was mailed to eacn of the owners of pro -
perty within 200 feet of the aforesaid lots; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to suc~ notice a public hearing was held by the City
Commission at the City Hall, 3800 University Blvd., at 7:30 o'clock P.M.,
Monday, March 14, 1960; and
WEEREAS, the City Commission is of the opinion tl1at the request of Mr.
H. W. Strickland should be granted:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST
UNIVERSrry PLACE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the City Commission of the City of West University Place
hereby finds and determines that all formalities required by OTdinance No.
111 of said City relative to the request of Mr. H. W. Strickland for an
amendment to the said Ordinance to permit the subdivision of Lot 8,
Block 20, West University Place First Addition into two lots have been met.
Section 2. That the report and recommendation of the Zoning and Planning
Board relative to the request of Mr. H. W. Strickland, be, and it is hereby,
approved and adopted.

Section 3. That Section 24 of Ordinance No. 111 of the City of West
University Place, Texas is hereby amended by the addition of a sub-para-
graph to be known as sub-paragraph No. 42 to read as follows:

is hereby subdivided into two lots, one of said lots being
100 x 130 feet and fronting on University Blvd., and the
other let being 90 x 100 feet and fronting on Brompton st.,
provided however, that any improvements placed on such lots
shall in all things comply with existing Ordinances and
the Building Code of the City of West Un:i,versity Place., Texas.lI
Section 4. This Ordinance will take effect and be in force immediately
from and after its passage and approval.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 9th DAY OF MAY, 1960.
