ORDINANCE NO. 776
AN ORDINANCE FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT EACH AND ALL OF THE PRO -
CEEDINGS HAVE BEEN BAD AND ALL THINGS DONE PREREQUISITE TO THE
HOLDING OF A PUBLIC BEARING TO CONSIDER THE AMENDING OF ZONING ORDI-
NANCE NO. 111 OF THE crry OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS SO AS TO
PERMIT THE SUBDIVISION OF' LOTS 24 AND 25, BLOCK 7, RICE COURT;
FnIDING THAT A PUBLIC' BEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSmERING AN
AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE NO ~ 111 HAS BEEN DULY AND LEGALLY HELD;
APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE REPORTED RECOMMENDATiON' OF THE ZONING
AND PLAliININGBOARD THAT ORDINANCE NO. 111 BE AMENDED SO AS TO
PERMIT SAID SUBDIVISION; FINDING THAT ORDINANCE NO. 111 OF THE
CITY OF WEST UN'IVERSITY PLACE SHOULD BE SO AMENDED; AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 111 PERMITTING SUCH SUBDIVISION; AND PROVmING AN
EFFECTDlE DATE.
WHEREAS, Mr. J. S.Gibson has heretofore duly and properly requested per-
mission for the subdivision of Lots 24 and 25, Block 7, Rice Court, to be
subdivided into two lots having 52! feet frontage each; and

WHEREAS, the Zoning and Planning Board of the City of West University Place,
having' consider~d the said request of Mr. J. S. Gibson has submitted its re-
commendation t~t the same should be granted subject to a public hearing before
the Cit~ Comm~ssion of s~id City; and .

WHEREAS, a proper notice of such hearing was given by publication in the
Houston Chronicle and notice was mailed to each of the owners of property
within 200 feet of the aforesaid lots; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to such notice a public hearing was held by the City Commis-
sion at the City Hall, 3800 University Blvd., at 7:30 P.M~, Monday, January
31, 1955; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission is of the opinion that the req,uest of Mr. J. S.
Gibson should be granted:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST
UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the City Commission of the City of West University Place here-
by finds and determines that all formalities req,uired by Ordinance No. 111 of
said City relative to the req,uest of Mr. J. S. Gibson for an amendment to the
said Ordinance to permit the subdivision of Lots 24 and 25, Block 7, Rice
Court, into two lots having 52! feet frontage each, have been met.
Section 2. That the report and recommendation of the Zoning and Planning
Board relative to the request of Mr. J. S. Gibson, be, and it is hereby, ap -
proved and adopted.

Section 3. That Section 24 of Ordinance No. 111 of the City of West
University Place, Texas is hereby amended by the addition of a sub-paragraph
to be known as sub-paragraph No. 41 to read as foliliows:

1/ (41) Lots 24 and 25, Block 7, Rice Court, is
hereby subdivided' into two lots having 52~ feet
frontage each, provided however, that any im -
provements placed on such lots shall in all
things comply with existing Ordinances and the
Building Code of the City of West University
Place, Texas. "
Section 4. This Ordinance will take effect and be in force immediately
from and after its passage and approval.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 28rH DAY OF MARCH, 1960.
