HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 771 - ORD Amending ORD Passed Nov 9, 1959 Ratifying Certain Assessemnts J ] ] 2/39< ORDINANCE NO. 771 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE PASSED NOVEMBER 9, 1959, RATIFYING CERTAIN ASSESSMENTS THERETOFORE LEVIED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HOUSTON BY CORRECTING A CLERICAL ERROR IN SAID ORDINANCE OF NOVEMBER 9, 1959, IN THE DESCRIPTION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BELONGING TO W. H. KRENZLER. WHEREAS, By Ordinance No. 59~138o, passed and approved September 23, 1959, the City Council of the City of Houston, in connection with the proposed improve- ment of Bissonnet Avi:!nue from the West property line of vlakeforest Street to the West property line of Kirby Drive, did levy assessments against the property abutting upon and along said portion of Bissonnet Avenue; and WHEREAS, by Ordinance passed November 9, 1959, the City Commission of the City of West University Place ratified and approved certalnassessments insofar as they affected the property abutting upon the South side of Bissonnet Avenue which is in the City of West University Place; and WHEREAS, one of the parcels of propert;YT abutting on the South side of said portion of Bissonnet Avenue, belonging to W. H. Ktenzler, was not described with complete accuracy in said ratifying Ordinance; and WHEREAS, the said W. H. Krenzler has agreed in writing that the clerical error in the description of said property may be corrected; NOH, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED~BY-THE?CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST UN'IVERSITY PLACE: Section 1. The assessment roll appearing as a part of Section 1 of the aforesaid Ordinance of the City of West University Place passed November 9, 1959, ratifying certain assessments theretofore levied by the City of Houston, is hereby amended so that Item 4 of said assessment roll shall be and read as follows: Property Owner Lot Number or Description Property Frontage Total Assessment (4) w.
