ORDINANCE NO. 765
AN ORDINANCE FINDING AND DETERMININC THAT EACH AND ALL OF THE
PROCEEDINGS HAVE 'BEEN HAD AND ALL THINGS DONE PREREQUISITE
TO THE HOLDING OF A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE' AMENDING
OF ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 111 OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSrry PLACE,
TEXAS SO AS TO PERMIT THE PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON LOTS 1,2,
3 AND ~, BLOCK 1, MONTICELLO ADD.rrION;, FINDING THAT A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING AN AMENDME,NT TO ORDINANCE
NO. 111 HAS BEEN DULY AND LEGALLY HELD; APPROVING AjID ADOPrING
THE REPORTED RECOMMENDATION OF THE ZONING AND PLANNING BOARD
THAT ORDINANCE NO. 111 BE AMENDED SO AS TO PERMIT SUCH USE;
FlImING T:B:AT ORDINANCE NO,. 111 OF THE Crry OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE SHOULD BE AMENDED SO AS TO PERMIT SUCH' USE; AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 111 PERMITTING SUCH USE; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, the st. Andrews, Presbyterian Church has heretofore duly and
properly requested permission to use Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 1, Monticello
Addition, as a parking lbt for motor vehicles of the members of said Church; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning and Planning Board of the City of West University Place,
having considered the said request of st. Andrews :Presbyterian Church; has
submitted its recommendation that the same should be granted subject to a
public hearing before the City Commissioners of said City;,and
WHEREAS, proper notice of such hearing was given by publication in the
Houston Chronicle on July 22, 1959 and notice was mailed to each of the
owners of property within 200 feet of the aforesaid lots; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to such notice a public hearing was held by the City
Commission at the City Hall, 3800 University Blvd., at 7:30 o'clock P.M.,'
Monday, August 10, 1959; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission is of the oplnlon that the request of St.
Andrews Presbyterian Church should be granted:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE crry COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST
UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the City Commission of the City of West University, Place

hereby finds and determines that all formalities required by Ordinance No.
111 of said City relative to the request of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church
for an amendment to the said Ordinance to permit the parking of motor vehic-
les on Lots 1,2, 3 and 4, Block 1, Monticello Addition have been duly
complied with. '
Section 2. That the report and recommendation of the Zoning and Planning
Board relative to the request of st. Andrews Presbyterian Church, be, and it
is hereby, approved and adopted.
R~~~~~nl~ That Section 4 of Ordinance No. 111 of the City of West Uni-
versity Place, Texas is hereby amended by the addition of a sub-paragraph
to be known as sub-paragraph No.(16) to read as follows:

II (16) st. AndreW's Presbyterian Church is hereby granted permission
to use Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 1,Monticello Addition, as a parking
place for motbr vehicles ,belonging to the members of said Church during the
time that religious services are being conducted in said Church, provided how-
ever, that such use shall in all other things comply with the existing
, Ordinances and Building Code of the City of West University Place, Texas. II
Section 4. This Ordinance will take effect and be in force immediately
from and after its passage and approval.
