AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AND ASSESSING AN AD VALOREM TAX ON ALL
TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS, FOR THE YEAR 1959, AND PRO-
VIDING FOR THE COLLECTION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TEE CITY COMMISSION' OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY,
PLACE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That there is hereoy levied and assessed against all
taxable property, both personal and real, within the corporate limits of
the City of West University Place, Texas, and there shall be collected
by such City a tax of one and seventy-eight one hundredths per cent
(1.78%) of the assessed valuation of such property, or at the rate of
one and seventy-eight one hundredths dollars ($1.78) on the one hundred
dollar ($100.00) assessed valuation for the year 1959.
Section 2. Such tax is hereby.levied and assessed in accordance
with the terms ~nd provisions of Section 1 of Article XXI of the City
Charter of the City of West University Place, Texas, and such levy and
assessment is made :
(A) For the upkeep and maintenance of the
Department of Health and Sanitation
(B)
For current expense and operation of t4e
General~undand its various departments

(C)
For Tax Revenue Sinking Fund to pay the
principal and interest on the bonded in-
debtedness of the City as follows :

Section ~. The Tax Assessor andCbllector of the City of
West University Place, Texas, is hereby directed to'collect taxes on
all of the property) both personal and real) within the corporate
limits of the City of West University Place, Texas, for the year 1959
at the rate herein provided.
