ORDINANCE NO. 762
AN ORDINANCE FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT EACH AND ALL OF TEE
PROCEEDINGS HAVE BEEN HAD AND ALL THINGS DONE PREREQUISITE. TO
TEE HOLDING OF A PUBLIC BEARING TO CONSIDER TEE AMENDING OF
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 111 OF THE Crry OF WEST UNIVERSrry PLACE,
TEXAS, SO AS TO PERMIT TEE SUBDIVISION OF LOT NO.16, BLOCIf16,
COLONIAL TERRACE; FINDING THAT A PUBLIC BEARING FOR THE puR-
POSE OF CONSIDERING AN AMENDME:NT TO ORDINANCE NO. 111 HAS
BEEN DULY AND LEGALLY HELD; APPROVING ANDADOPrING TEE RE- .
PORTED RECOMME:NDATION OF THE ZONING .AJID PLANNING BOARD THAT
ORDINANCE NO. 111 BE AMENDED SO AS TO PERMIT SAm SUB-
DIVISION; FINDING THAT ORDINANCE NO. III OF THE CITY OF
WEST UNIVERSrry PLACE SHOULD BE AMENDED SO' AS TO PERMrr SUCH
SUBDIVISION; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. III PERMITTING SUCH SUB-
DIVISION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Mr. Frank J. Gaskey, has heretofore duly and properly req.uested per-
mission for the subdivision of Lot 16, Block 16, Colonial Terrace, into'two lots,
one of said lots being 15 feet in width and the other 35 feet in width, and said
15 foot lot is to be added to and considered a part of Lot 17, Block 16,
Colonial Terrace; and
WEEREAS, the Zoning and Planning Board of the City of West University Place,
having considered the said request of Mr. Frank J. GaSkey, has submitted its
recommendation that the same should be granted subject to a public hearing be-
fore the City Commission of said City; and
WEEREAS, a proper notice of such hearing was given by publication in the
Houston Chronicle on June 24, 1959 and notice was mailed to each of the m{ners
of property within 200 feet of the aforesaid lot; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to such notice a public hearing was held by the City Com-
mission at the City Hall, 3800 University Boulevard, 7:30 o'clock P.M., Monday,
July 13, 1959; and
WEEBEAS, the City Commission is of the opinion that the request of Mr. Frank
J. Gaskey should be granted:
NOW, TEEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY, TEE CITY COMMISSION OF TEE CITY OF WEST
. UNIVERSrrY PLACE, TEXAS:
.Section 1. That the City Commission of the City of West University Place
hereby finds and determines that all formalities required by Ordinance No.
111 of said City relative to the re~uest of Mr. Frank J. Gaskey for an amend-
ment to the said Ordinance to permit the subdivision of Lot 16, Block 16,
Colonial Terrace, have been duly complied with.
Section 2. That the report and recommendation of the Zoning and Planning
Board relative to the request of Mr. Frank J. Gaskey, be, and it is hereby, ap-
proved and adopted.

Section 3. That Section 24 of Ordinance No. 111 of the City of West
University Place, Texas, is hereby amended by the addition of a sub-para -
graph to be known as sub-paragraph No. 36 to read as follows;
II ( 36 ) Lot 16, Block 16, Colonial Terrace, is hereby subdivided into two
lots of 35 feet in width and 15 feet in width and the Lot 15 feet in width is
added to and made a part of Lot 1", Block 16) Colonial Terrace, provided,' how-
ever,;that any improvements placed on such lots shall in all things comply with
existing Ordinances and Building Code of the City of West University Place,Texas."
Section 4. This Ordinance will take effect and be in force immediately
from and after its passage and,approval.
