AN ORDINANCE FINDING AND DETERMIlifG THAT EACH AND ALL OF THE
PROCEEDINGS HAVE BEEN HAD AND ALL THINGS DONE PREREQUISITE TO
THE HOLDING OFA PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER'TEE AMENOING OF
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 111 OF TEE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSrry PLACE,
TEXAS, SO AS TO PERMIT THE SUBDIVISION OF LOTS 8, 9 AND ,10,
BLOCK 1, BELLE COURT ADDITION, INTO TWO LOTS WITH A FRONTAGE
OF 75 FEET AND 80 FEET, RESPECTIVELY; FINDING THAT A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSmERING AN AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE
NO .111 HAS BEEN DULY AND LEGALLY HELD; APPROVING :AND ADOPTING
THE REPORT AND RECOw.m:NDATION OF THE ZONING AND PLANNING BOARD
THAT ORDINANCE .NO. 111 BE AMENDED SO AS TO PERMrr TEE SUB -
DIVISION OF SAID LOTS; FINDING THAT ORDINANCE NO. 111 OF THE
CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE SHOULD BE AMENDED SO AS TO PERMrr
SUCH SUBDIVISION; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 111 PERMITTING SUCH
SUBDIVISION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Mr. R. L. Gallaway, has heretofore duly and properly requested
permission to subdivide Lots 8, 9 and 10, Block 1, Belle Court Addition,into
two lots with a frontage of 75 and 80 feet,respectively; and
WHEREAS, The Zoning and Planning Board of the City of West University
Place, having considered the said request of Mr. R. L. Gallaway has submitted
its recommendation that the same should be granted subject to a public hearing
before the City Commission of said City; and
WHEREAS, proper notice of such hearing was given by publication in the
Houston Chronicle on January 21, 1959, and notice was mailed to each of the
: owners of property within 200 feet of the aforesaid lots; and
_ WHEREAS, pursuant to such notice a public hearing was held by the City
Commission at the City Hall, 3800 University Blvd., at 7:30 o'clock P.M.,
Monday ,February 9, 1959; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission is of the opinion that the request of Mr.
R. L. Gallaway should be granted:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE rr ORDAINED BY T~ CITY COMMISSION O,F THE CITY OF WEST
UNIVERSrry PLACE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the City Commission of the City of West University Place.
hereby finds and determines that all formalities required by Ordinance No. 111
of said City relative to the request of Mr. R. L. Gallaway for an amendment to
the said Ordinance to permit the'subdivision of Lots 8, 9 and 10, Block 1,
Belle Court Addition, into two lots with a frontage of 75 and 80 feet respective-
ly, has been duly complied with.
Section 2. That the report and recommendation of the Zoning and Planning
Board relative to the request of Mr. R. L. Gallaway, be, and it is hereby, ap-
proved and adopted.
Section 3. That Section 24 of Ordinance No. 111 of the City of West
University Place, Texas, is hereby amended by the addition of a sub'~paragraph

to be known as sub-paragraph No. 32 to read as follows:

JI (32) Lots Nos. 8, 9 and 10, Block. 1, Belle'Court Addition are hereby
subdivided and/or consolidated into two lots and hereafter said Lot 8 shall
have a frontage of 75 feet and Lot 10 having a frontage ',of 80 feet, provided,
that any improvements placed on the aforesaid lots shall in all things com -
ply with the existing Ordinances and Building Code of the City of West
Universi ty Place." '
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately
from and after its passage and approval.
