AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $12,000 OUT OF THE FUND
TO THE CREDrr OF STREET IMPROVE:MENT BONDS SERIES 1948, IN'THE Crry TREASURY
TO PAY THE COST OF PAVING AND IMPROVING:

vTBEREAS, the Ci ty~ Treasurer has duly and regularly, in accordance
with the provisions of the Charter of the City of West University Place,
Texas, certified to the City Commission that there is in the City Treasury
to the credit of the Street Improvement Bonds Series 1948 the sum of
$12.000 which has not been already appropriated for any other purpose and
which is now available for appropriation by the City Commission, and which
sum is sufficient to pay t~e City's part of the cost of paving and improving
those portions of certain streets in the City of West University Place,
Texas, hereinafter set forth:
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE.IT ORDAINED BY THE Crry COMMISSION OF, THE CITY OF WEST
UN'IVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of
$12.000 to pay the City's part of the cost of paving and improving:
Section: 1, WESTCHESTER AVENUE BETWEEN UNIVERSrry
BOULEVARD AND DUKE STREET
Section 2, WESTCHESTER AVENUE BETWEEN CASON STREET
AND BELLAIRE BOULEVARD
Section 3, RTJrGERS AVENUE BETWEEN UNIVERSITY
BOULEVARD AND . DUKE STREET

Section 2. That said sum of $12,000 is hereby appropriated
out of the fund to the credit of Street Improvement Bonds Series 1948
in said City Treasury; and the Mayor and City Treasurer are hereby
authorized to draw warrant or warrants against said fund in said sum of
tbgL9QQ or such portion or portions thereof as may be necessary to pay
and discharge the obligations of the City of West University Place
chargeable thereto.
~ion l~ The fact that portions of the streets herein-
before defined and heretofore ordered improved within the limits stated
are in need of improvem~nt as promptly as possible creates a public
emergency, and, therefore, this Ordinance shall be passed finally on the
!date of its introduction, this 23rd day of February, 1959, and shall take
effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
