ORDINANCE NO. 748
AN ORDINmil'CE EMPLOYING PAUL STRONG TO REPRESENT TEE CITY
OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS, AS ITS ATTORNEY IN THE
TRIAL COURT IN TEE CASE OF GEORGE E. MARSHALL, ET AI.,
PLAINTIFFS VS. TEE cm OF 'WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS,
DEFEIilDA:NTS NO. 512909 IN THE l51ST JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT
OF HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, .AND FIXING HIS COMPENSATION THEREFOR:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION O:F THE' CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE ~ :
1. That the City of West University Place" Texas, has agreed to and
does hereby employ Paul Strong to represent it in the trial court
in a case now pending in the l5lst Judicial District Court of
Harris County, Texas" stfS"led George E. Marshall, et ale vs. the
City of West University Place, No. 512909 on the docket of said
court.
2. That the compensation of' ];he said Paul Strong for performing the
said services ha.s been agreed upon and is hereby fixed at the sum
of $1,750.00 which shall be paid as follovTs: $500.00 upon the
adoption of this ordinance, $5bo.00 on December 1, 1958" and the
balance of $750.00.upon the conclusion of such a case in the trial
court.
3. That the employment and compensatOion herein provided for shall
o~ly cover the services of the said Paul St~ong in the aforesaid
case at the first trial in the trial court and does not include
his employment or compensation in the event of an appeal from
'the trial court to any other cQurt, nor does such employment or
compensation cover any other services for the City of West Univ -
ersity Place, Texas, but is in addition to any other compensation
received by the said Paul Strong from the City of West University
Place, Texas.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 27TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 1958.
