AN ORDINANCE FINDING A:ND DETERMINING THAT EACH A:ND ALL OF THE
PROCEEDINGS HAVE BEEN HAD AND ALL THINGS DONE PREREQUISITE TO
TEE HOLDING OF A PUBLIC BEARING TO' CONSIDER TEE AMENDING OF
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 111 OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE,
TEXAS" SO AS TO PERMIT TEE CONSTRUCTION OF AN APARTMENT BUILD-
ING ON LOTS 3, 4, 5' AND 6, BLOCK 7, CUNNINGHAM TERRACE AND TEE
'c NORTH 200 FEET OF LOT 26, CAMBRIDGE PLACE,'.A DISTANCE OF 20
FEET FROM TEE FRONT PROPERTY LINE ON STELLA~LINK ROAD; FIIilDING
THAT A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF CGNSIDERING AN AMEND-
MElilT TO ORDINANCE NO. 111 HAS BEEN DULY AND LEGALLY HELD; AP-
PROVING A:ND ADOPrING TEE REPORT A:ND RECOMMENDATION OF TEE ZON-
ING AND PLANNING BOARD THAT OlIDINANCE NO. 111 BE AMENDED SO AS
TO PERMIT THE ERECTION OF SAID APARTMElilT BUILDING A DISTANCE OF
20 FEET FROM TEE FR9NT. PROPE$TY LINE ON STELLA LINK ROAD; FIND-
ING THAT ORDINANCE NO. 111 OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE
SHOULD BE ~NDED SO AS TO PERMIT SUCH CONSTRUCTION; AMEIilDING
ORDINANCE NO. 111 PERMITTING SUCH CONSTRUCTION; AND .PROVIDING,
AN EFFECTIVE: DATE.-
WHEREAS" Mr. H. R. Houck, Sr.:has heretofore duly and properly r~quested per-
mission to construct an apartment building on Lots 3, 4, 5 and 6, Block 7,
Cunningham Terrace, and the North 200 feet of Lot 26, Cambridge Place, a dis-
tance of 20 feet from the_front property line on Stella Link Road; and '

WHEREAS, the Zoning and Planning Board of the City of West University Place,
having considered the said request of Mr. H. R. Houck, Sr., has submitted its
recommendati'on that the same should be granted subject to a public hearing before
the City Commissio~ of said City; and "
WEEREAS, proper notice of suchhearing,was given oy ptlblication in the Houston
Chronicle on April 16, 1958 and notice was mailed to each of the owners of prop-
erty within 200 feet of the afor~said lots; and
WHEREAS" pursuant to such noti6e a public hearing was held by the City Commission
at the City Hall, 3800 University Boulevard, at 7:30 oclock P.M. Monday, May 12,
1958; and -
WHEREAS, the City Commission is of the"opinion that the request of Mr. H. R. Houck,
Sr. should be granted:
NOW, THEREFORE" BE rr ORDAINED BY THE CITY,COMMISSION OF TEE CITY OF WEST UNIVER-
SITY PLACE, TEXAS:' '
Section 1. That the City Commission of the City of West University Place hereby
finds and determines:that all formalities ~equired by Ordinance No. 111 of said
City relative to the request 'of Mr. H. R.;Houck, Sr/for an amendment to the said

ordinance to permit the construction of an apartment bUilding on Lots 3, 4, 5 and
6, Block 7, Cunningham Terrace, and the North 200 feet of Lot 26, Cambridge Place,
a distance of 20 feet from'the front property line on Stella Link Road, have:::geen

ative to th~ request of Mr. H. R~ Houck, Sr. be, and it is hereby, approved arid
adopted.
a.ection__~ That Section 29 of Ordinance No. 111 of the City of West University
Place, Texas is hereby amended by the addition of a sub-paragraph to be known as
Sub-paragraph No. 12 to read as follows:
"(12) An apartment building is permitted to be constructed a minilllUtn.
distance of 20 feet from the front property line on Stella Link
Road on Lots 3, 4, 5 and 6, Block:7, Cunningham Terrace, and the
North 200 feet of Lot 26, Cambridge Place, provided,~,b:owever, that
such apartment building shall in all things ,comply with the exist-
ing ordinances and Building Code of the City of West University
Place."
~ction 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be inforce'immediately from and
after its passage and approval.
