AN ORDINANCE, LEVYING AIilD ASSESSING AN AD V,ALOREM TAX ON ALL TAX - -
ABLE PROPERTY WITHIN TEE CORPORATE LIMITS OF TEE CITY OF WEST
UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS, FOR TEE YEAR 1957, AND PROVIDING FOR
THE COLLECTION TEEREOF.
BE IT ORDAIEED BY TEE CITY COMMISSION OF TEE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE TEXAS:
Section 1. That there is hereby levied and assessed against all taxable
property, both personal and real, within the corporate limits of the City of West
University Place, 'Texas~ and there shall be collected by such City a tax of one
and seventy--eight one hundredths per cent (1.780/0) of the assessed valuation of
such property, or at the rate of one and seventy-eight one hundredths dollars
($1. 78) on the one hundred dollar ($100.00) assessed valuation for the year 1957.

Section 2. Such tax is hereby levied and assessed in accordance with
the terms and provisions of Section 1 of Article XXI of the City Charter of the
City of West University Place, Texas, and such levy and assessment is made:
(A) For the upkeep and maintenance of the
D.epartment of Health and Sanitation
(B) For Qurrent expense and operation of the
General Fund and its various departments
(C) For Tax Revenue Sinking Fund to pay the
principal and interest on the bonded in-
debtedness of the City as follows:

Section ~. The Tax Assessor and Collector of the City of West Univer-
sity Place, Texas, is hereby directed to collect taxes on all of the property,
both personal and real, within the corporate limits of the City of West Univer-
sity Place, Texas" for the year 1957 at the rate herein provided.
