AN ORDINANCE CALLING AN ELECTION WITHIN TEE CITY. OF WESTUNIV'ER-
SITY PLACE, TEXAS, ON TEE 6th DAY OF NOVEMBER,1f~,6, FOR TEE
ELECTION OF. A MAYOR AND FOUR COMMISSIONERS FOR A TERM OF TWO
YEARS AND APPOINTING ELECTION OFFICERS FOR EACH POLLING PLACE.
BE IT ORDAImID BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS:
1. That ,an election shall be held in the City of West University Place,
Texas, on November 6, 1956" being the first Tuesday fOllowing the first Monday in
N'Ovember, for the purpose of electing a May'Or and four Commissioners 'Of said City.
The Polling Place for all qualified voters living within Voting Precinct No. 133
as n'Ow established by the Commissioner's Court of Harris County, Texas, shall be
at the City Hall of West University Place, located at 3800 University Boulevard
in said City. The polling place for all qUalified voters living within Voting
Precinct No. 183 as now established by the Commissioner's Court of Harris County,
Texas, shall be a~ the Communfuty BUilding" located at the corner of Rice Boule-
vard and Auden Street in said City. The Polling Place for all qualified voters
living within Voting Frecinct No. 87 as'now established by the Commissioner's
Court of Harris County" Texas" shall be at the West University Place Elementary
School, located at 3756 University Boulevard. Such Polling Places and the po~ls
thereat shall be open from 7:00 A. M." until 7:00 P. M." on said date, November
6, 1956. <
2. (a) That in said Precinct N'O. 133 the following named persons are
hereby appointed managers thereof, to-wit:

3. That a copy of. this Ordinance, signed by the Mayor and attested D
by the City Secretary" shall serve as proper notice of said election and the I
Mayor shall cause to be posted a properly executed copy thereof at the door of
the City Hall, the COlI!lllunity Building and the West University Elementary School,
each of said_places being a POlling Place for this election; for a period of at
least 30 days before the date of said election. The City Secretary is directed
to cause .this Order and Notice of Election to be published in the Houston Chronicle,
a newspaper of general circulation in the City of West University Place; Texas,
for one issue, the date of 'such publication to be not less than 30 days prior to
the date of said election.
