ORDINANCE NO. 704
AN ORDINANCE FnIDING THE 'NECESSITY FOR AlID AlJrHORIZING
THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM THE SANITARY SEWER CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENl' FUND TO THE GARBAGE AND REFUSE DISPOSAL
SITES SPECIAL FUND, SUCH FUNDS SO TRANSFERRED TO BE
USED IN PURCHASING A :NEW GARBAGE DISPOSAL SITE FOR
THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE.
WHEREAS Ordinances Nos. 700 and'701 were passed and adopted
on the 13th day of February, 1956, authorizing the sale of the exist-
ing garbage and refuse disposal site of the City of West University
Place and authorizing the purchase by the City of additional land
to be used as a permanent garbage and refuse disposal site, the tract
of land to be sold', being fully described in Ordinance No. 700, and
the tract of land to be purchased being fully described in Ordinance
No. 701; and
WHEREAS a new fund of the City of West University Place was
created by Ordinance No. 702, duly passed and adopted on the 12th day
of March, 1956, and there are not now sufficient funds available in
theGarbag~ and Refuse Disposal S~tes Special Fund of the City of West
University Place with which to purchase a new garbage and refuse dis-
posal site; and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer funds into the Garbage
and Refuse Disposal Sites Special Fund from the Sanitary Sewer Cap-
ital Improvement Fund of the City with which to purchase the new gar-
bage and refuse disposal site;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF WEST UNI,VERSITY PLACE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That Edwin W. Morris, Mayor of the City of West
University Place, be, and he is hereby, authorized to effect or cause
to be 'effected a transfer of funds from the Sanitary Sewer Capital
Iti:rprovenient Fund into the Garbage and Refuse Disposal Sites Special
Fund in the amount of Thirty-Six Thousand Dollars ($36,000.00).
Section 2. The transfer of said funds shall be made in two
transfers as follows:
The sum of Thirty Thousand One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($30,150.00)
on March 15, 1956; and the sum of Five Thousand Eight Hundred.
Fifty Dollars ($5,850.00) on March 31, 1956. ,
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take:effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage by the City
Commission and its approval by the Mayor.
