AN ORDINANCE CALLING AN ELECTION WITHIN THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS, ON THE 2ND DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1954, FOR THE ELECTION OF
A MAYOR AND FOUR COMMISSIONERS FOR A TERM OF TWO YEARS AND APPOINT-
ING ELECTION OFFICERS FOR EACH POLLING PLACE.

BE IT O~DAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS:
1. ,That an election shall be held in the City of West University Place,
Texas, on November 2, 1954, being the f'irst Tuesday following the first Monday
of November, f'or the purpose of electing a Mayor and f'our Commissioners of
said City. The Polling Place f'or all qualified voters living within Voting
Precinct No. 133 as now established by the Commissioner's Court of Harris
County, Texas, shall be at the City Hall of West University Place, located at
3800 University Boulevard in said City. The Polling Place f'or all qualified
voters living within Voting Precinct No. 183 as now established by the Com-
missioner's ,Court of Harris County, Texas, shall be at the Community Center'
Building, located at the corner of Rice Boulevard and Auden Street in said
,City. The Polling Place for all qualif'ied voters living within Voting Precinct
No. 87 as now established by the Commissioner's Court of' Harris County, Texas,
shall be at the West University Place Elementary School, located at 3756
University Boulevard. Such Polling Places and the polls there at shall be
open from 7:00 A.M., until 7:00 P.M., on said date, November 2, 1954.

2. (a) That in said Precinct No. 133 the f'ollowing named persons
are hereby appointed managers thereof, to-wit:

Elementary School, each of' said places being a Polling Place f'or this election,
for a period of at least 30 days bef'ore the date of said election. The City
Secretary is directed to cause this Order and Notice of Election to be published
in the Houston Chronicle, a news~a~er of' general circulation in the City of
West University Place, Texas, for one issue, the date of' such ~ublication to
be not less than 30 days prior to the date of said election.
PASSED and APPROVED, this 27th day of' September, 1954, all Commissioners
voting "aye".
