ORDINANCE NO. 673
AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AND ASSESSING AN AD VALOREM TAX ON ALL
TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS, FOR THE YEAR 1954, AND PRO-
VIDING FOR THE COLLECTION THEREOF.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That there is hereby levied and assessed against all
taxable property, both personal and real, within the corporate limits of the
City of West University Place, Tex~s, and there shall be collected by such
City a tax of one and seventy-eight one hundredths per cent (1.78%) of the
assessed valuation of such property, or at the rate of One and seventy-eight
one hundredths Dollars ($1.78) on the One Hundred Dollar ($100.00) assessed
valuation for the year 1954.
Section 2. Such tax is hereby levied and assessed in accordance
with the terms and provisions of' Section 1 of Article XXI of the City Charter
of' the City of West University Place, Texas, and such levy and assessment is
made:
(a) For the upkeep and maintenance of the Department
of Health and Sanitation $ .030
(b) For current expense and operation of the General J
Fund and its various departments 1.02
(c) For Tax Revenue Sinking Fund to pay the principal
and interest on the bonded indebtedness of the
Ci ty as follows:
