ORDINANCE NO. 671
AN ORDINANCE FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT EACH AND ALL OF
THE PROCEEDINGS HAVE HEREl'OFORE BEEN HAD AND ALL THINGS
DONE PREREQUISITE TO THE HOLDING OF A PUBLIC BEARING TO
CONSIDER THE AMENDING OF ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 111 OF THE,
Crry OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS, SO AS TO PERMIT THE
SUBDIVISION OF LCYr 6, BLOCK 35, WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE FIRST
ADDrrION, IN TO TWO (2) LOTS 50 X 130. 25 ~EACH; FINDING
THAT A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE' PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING AN
AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE NO. III HAS BEEN DULY AND LEGALLY
HElD; APPROVING AND ADOPI'ING THE REPORT AND RECOMMENDATION
OF Tim ZONING AND PLANNING BOARD THAT ORDINANCE NO. 111
BE AMENDED SO AS TO PERMIT SUBDIVISION OF THE SAID LOT;
FINDING THAT ORDINANCE NO. III OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE SHOULD BE AMENDED SO AS TO PERMIT SUCH SUBll)IVISION;
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 111 SUBDIVIDING THE SAID LOT; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, DAVID BLAND has heretof'ore duly and properly requested per-
mission to subdivide Lot 6, Block 35, West University Place First Addition,
in to two (2) lots 50 x 130.25 f'eet each; and
WHEREAS, The Zoning and Planning Board of the City of' West UniversitY
Place, having considered the said request of David Bland, has submitted its .
recommendation that the same should be granted subject to a public hearing
before the City Commission of' said City; and
WHEREAS, A public hearing was had on the said request of' David B1.S.nd
following proper notice of' the same in accordance with Ordinance No. III of
the City of' West University Place at the City Hall on the 2nd day of' August,
1954; and
WHEREAS, The City Commission is of' the opinion that the request of'
David Bland should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAI:NED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS: ' '"
Section 1. That the City Commission of the City of' West University Place
hereby finds and,determines that all formalities required by Ordinance No. 111
of' said City relative to the request of' David Bland f'or an amendment to the
said Ordinance to permit the subdivision of' Lot 6, Block 35, West University
Place First Addition, in to two (2) lots 50 x 130.25 feet each, have been duly
complied with.
Section 2. That the report and recommendation of the Zoning and Planning
Board relative to the request of David Bland be, and it is hereby, approved
and adopted.
Section ~. That Section 24 of' Ordinance No. 111 of the City of West University
Place, Texas is hereby amended by the addition of a subparagraph to be known
as subparagraph No. 23 to read as follows:

"(~4). Lot 6, Block 35, West University Place First Addition,
is hereby subdivided in to two (2) 50 f't. lots f'ronting on
Mercer street, each lot being 130.25 feet in depth, and a
residential structure may be built on each of' the said lots
hereby created providing, however; that such residential build-
ings shall in all things comply with the existing Ordinances
and the building code of' the City of West University Place
as the same aff'ects lots of' like dimensions."
Section' 4. This Ordinance, shall take ef'f'ect and be in force immediately
from' al1d af,ter its passage and approval.
