ORDINANCE NO. 670
AN ORDINANCE FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT EACH, AND ALL OF
THE PROCEEDINGS HAVE BEEN HAD AND ALL THINGS DONE PRE-
..REQUISITE TO THE HOLDING OF A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER
THE AMENDING OF ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 111 OF THE CITY OF
WEST UNIVERSITY PUCE, TEXAS SO AS TO PERMIT THE RESUB-
DIVISION OF LOT 7, BLOCK 13, WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE FmST
ADDITION IN TO TWO (2) Lars, ONE (1) TO BE 100 x 113 FEET
AND THE OTHER TO BE 87 x 100 FEET; FINDING THAT A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING AN AMENDMENT TO
pRDINANCE NO. 111 HAS BEEN DULY AND LEGALLY HELD; APPROV-
:tNG AND ADOPI'ING THE REPORT AND RECOMMENDATION OF THE
ZONING AND PLANNING BOARD THAT ORDINANCE NO. 111 BE AMENDED
SO AS TO PERMIT THE RESUBDIVISION, OF THE SAID Lar; FINDING
THAT ORDINANCE NO. 111 OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE
SHOULD BE AMENDED SO AS TO PERMIT SUCH RESUBDIVISION;
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. III RESUBDIVIDING THE SAID Lor; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, MRS. C. W.HEATH has heretofore duly and properly requested
permission to resubdivide Lot No. Seven (7), Block Thirteen (13)" West Uni-
versity Place First Addition, in to tWQ (2) lots 100 x 113 feet and 87 x 100
feet, the said lot having been heretofore subdivided in 1948, as evidenced
by the Minutes of' the Meetings of the City Commission of the City of' West
University Place; and
WHEREAS, The Zoning and Planning Board of' the City of' West University
Place, having consid.ered the said request of' Mrs. C. W. Heath, has submitted
its recommendation that the same should be granted subject to a public
hearing bef'ore'the City Commission of said City; and
WHEREAS, A public hearing was had on the said request of' Mrs. C. W.
Heath following proper, notice of' the same in accordance with Ordinance No. 111
of' the City of' West University Place in the City Hall on the 2nd day of
August, 1954; and '
WHEREAS, The City Commission is of' the opinion that the request of
Mrs. C. W. Heath should. be granted. '
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the City Commission of the City of West University Place
hereby f'inds and determines that all formalities required by Ordinance No. 111
of' said City relative to the request of' Mrs. C. W. Heath ,for an amendment to '
the said Ordinance to permit the resubdivision of' Lot 7, Block 13, West Uni-
versity Place First Addition, in 'to two (2) lots 100 X 113 feet and 87 X 100
f'eet, have been duly complied with.
Section 2. That' the report and recommendation of the Zoning and Planning Board
relative to the request of Mrs. C. W. Heath be, and it is hereby, approved,
and adopted.

Section 3. That Section 24 of Ordinance No. 111 of' the City of West University
Place, Texas is hereby amended by the addition of a subparagraph to be known
as subparagraph No. 22 to read as f'o~lows:
"(23). , Lot 7, in Block 13, West University Place First Addition,
is hereby resubdivided in to two (2) lots, one (1) to be 100 x 113
f'eet and to f'ront on Vanderbilt Street; the other to be 87 x 100
feet and to f'ront on Duke Street. A residential structure may be
built on'the smaller of' the two ,(2) lots hereby created," provided,
however, that 'such residential building shall in all things comply
with the existing Ordinances and the building code of the City of
West University Place as the same affects lots ,of' like dimensions.1I
Section 4. That the action of' the City Commission of' the City of' West University
Place SUbdividing the said Lot 7, Block 13, West University Place First
Addition in 1948 is hereby su~erseded and declared ineff'ective.
Sec~_~ This Ordinance shall take ef'f'ect and be in f'orce immediately from
and after its passage and approval.
PASSED AND APIROVED THIS 9TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1954.
