AN ORDINANCE ~AUfBORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR OF THE' CITY
OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, fEXAS, TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE
AN AGREEMENI' ON BEHA.I.F OF SAID CITY WITH THE HARRIS COUNTY
FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT RELATIVE TO THE IMPROVEMENT, MAIETEN-
'ANCE AND OCCUPANCY OF A PORTION OF VIRGINIA STREEI'; REPEAL-
ING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
EEREv,lITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE ,DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS:
1. That the Mayor of the City of West University Place, Texas, be
and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into and execute an agree-
ment in writing ,on behalf of s~id City with the Harris County Flood Control
District providing for the occupancy of the hereinafter described area, a -
portion of Virginia Street, within the City of West University Place, Texas,
for so long as such area is occupied by a ditch for drainage purposes, the
said Harris County Flood Control District to have all of the rights and
title to the same for such period of time as does the said City. Said area
is described by metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the West right of way line of
Virginia Street with the South right of way line of Cason Street;

Thence in a Northerly direction along the West right of way
line of Vi~ginia Street, 2684.37 feet to ~ point for corner,
at the intersection of said right of way line with the South
right of way line of University Boulevard;
Thence in an Easterly direction along the South right of way
line of' University Boulevard, 30.00 feet to a point for corner;
Thence in a Southerly direction parallel to the West right of
way line of Virginia Street, 2070.00 feet to a point for corner
on a prolongation of the South right of way line of Carnegie
Street;
Thence in an Easterly direction along the prolongation of said
right of way line, 5.00 feet to a point f'or corner;
Thence in a Southerly direction parallel to the West right of
way line of' Virginia Street, 614.37 f'eet to a point for corner
of the South right of way line of Cason Street;
Thence in a Westerly direction along the South right of way line
of' Casan Street, 35.00 feet to the place of beginning.
2. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances of' the City of
West University Place in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
3. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately
