III HAS BEEN DULY AND LEGAr.,LY HELD; APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE REPORT AND RECOMMENDATION OF THE ZONING AND PLANNING BOARD THAT ORDINANCE NO. 111 BE, AMENDED 80 ' AS TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A RESIDENCE ON LO'1 8 IN BLOCK I, WF..3T UNiVERSITY PLACE FIRST' ADDITION, 'TO FRONT ON BELMONT S1REET RATHER THAN ON CASON STREET; FINDING THAT ORDINANCE 'NO., 211 SHOULD BE AMENDED SO AS TO PERMIT SUCH CONSTRUCTION; AMENDING CRDINANCE NO. III SO AS TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A RESIDENCE . ON LOT 8 IN BLOCK 3 WEST UNIVERsITY PLACE .TEXAS FIRST ADDITION TO FOONT ON BELMONT STREET RATHER THAN ON CASON STREET; AHBPRO- VInING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHAIL TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FORCE AND EFFJiX:T IMMEDIATELY FROM AND AFTER ITS' 'PASSAGE AND APPROVAL. ,WHEREAS, S. H. GRIPP, the owner of Lot 8 in Block 3 of 'lest University .t>lace First Addition has her..etofore filed his written application with the Zoning arid Plarming Board of the Ci~y of West, University Place, Texa's, for permission to construct a residence on said lot to front on Belmont Street rather than on Cason Street; and -----; ! , J ,WHEREAS, at a regular me'eting of the Zoning and Planning Board of the Citypf West University Place held on November 8; 1951, it was determined that permission for such facing of said lot,should.i~ all things be granted by the City Commission after a public hearing was had thereon and such ' recommendation was made to the City Commiss,i~n by the Zoning and Plarming Bpard; and, , , , WHEREAS, ata regular meettng of the City Commission of the City of West University Pla,ce, Texas, held on November 12, 1951, upon the written request of'S. H. GRIPP and upon the reco~endation of the Zoning and Planning Board, it was detennined that a public hearing should be held to consider 'Whether Ordinance No. 111 of the City should be amended so as to permit faeing of said lot' on Belmont Street;' and WHEREAS, the City Commission at its regular meeting on November 12, 1951, did instruct the City Secretary to advertise in the official publica- tion of the City and to give written notice to all property owners whose property lies within 200 feet of Lot 8 in Block 3 West University Place First Addition of a public hearing to be held at 7:30 o'clock p.m. Friday, . GRIPP; and WHEREAS, the City Commissio~ and Mayor of the City of West University 'Place, Texas, desire to- amend Ordinance No. 111 and bell.eve that it will be to the public interest to so amend the same; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF '!HE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS: Section 1. That the City Commission of the City of West University Place, Texas, does hl!reby fi,nd and determine that each and all of the pro- ceedingshereinabove mentioned have been duly and legally taken and per- formed in' fulL compliance with the laws and Charter and Ordinances of the City of We-st University Place, Texas, and that all provisions and requirements of the law and. said Charter and Ordinances prerequisite to the holding of a public hearing for the purpose of considering the amending of the Zoning Ordinance No. III have been made and fully complied with. . Section 2. '!hat the City Commission of the City of West University Place, Texas, does hereby find anddeterrnine that a public hearing for the purpose of considering an amendment to Ordinance No. III so as to pernrl.tthe facing of Lot 8 in Block 3 West University Place First Addition was duly held at 7:30 o'clock p.m. on Friday, NovemberJO, 1951, in the City Hall of the City of West University Place in pursuance of the notice of such hearing duly and legally made in accordance with the Ordinances of the City; Section 3.
