Ii LJ WHEREAS, pursuant to receipt of sealed bids therefor County of Harris, Texas, entered into. a ,contract with Marvin Brown, Inc., as contractor for the construction of str~et improvement on a strip of land extending from the intersection of We slay an Road and Riley Street to the North line of Bellaire Boulevard, heretofore and herein designated "Stella Link Road Connection", limiting liability of the County therefor to the sum of Twenty-five Hundred ($2500) Dollars; and " i , I .~ WHEREAS, certain interested property owners agreed to pay certain portions of the cost of said improvement as reflected by agreement between said Marvin Brown, Inc. as contractor and the City acting on behalf of said property owners; and the City has heretofore agreed to. pay certain specified portions of the cost of improvement on the respective designated segregated sections and has heretofore made sufficient appropriations therefor; and WHEREAS, said Contractor has now completed }he improvements and has completed the work on each several sections in accordance with the contract with the County of Harris, Texas, and the plans and specifications consti- tuting a part thereof am in accordanc~ with agreement with said City; and the City Engineer has made a report and,certificate with reference to the completion of said work and has now presented his final estimate in connection therewith: NOV/, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIUED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS: Section 1. The City Commission hereby finds and determines that [I I I U ] 'I , ~! 1'\ i , L---i 231 the City Engineer has examined,'measured and caused to be tested in the manner provided by said contract, plans and specifications, the work done and improvements accomplished on the respective separate segregated sections, hereinabove and hereinafter mentioned and set forth, pursuant to the July 26, 19S1 contract between the County of Harris'and"Marvin 13rown, Inc., contractor, and the July 26, 1951 agreements with reference thereto to which the City was a party and which improvements were constructed under the direction, super- vision and examination by said Engineer, and has found and determined that such work and improvements have been done, constructed and fully completed in ~full compliance with the terms and provisions of said contract, and of the 'cIplans and'specifications constituting a part'thereof; and that said Engineer lhas so certified to the. In accordance. with the July 26, 1951 agreement between the City'and the County of Harris,- Texas; the City Engineer'is hereby authorized and directed"to : furnish to the County of Harris, Texas, a signed GOPY, of .his oertificatethat the work has, been completed as in accordance ,with the plans and specifications; and,the City Secretary ,is-hereby authorized' and directed to furnish to the County. of Harris, Texas, a 'certified copy of' this ordinance so finding and accepting said work, for the purpose of final settlement. between the County and Contractor.
