AN ORDINANCE AMENDING. AND CHANGING THE 1951 BUDGET .
OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS; ALLOCAT- .. ,
DIG AND TRANSFERRING CERTAIN FUNDS DESIGNATED IN SAID
BUDGEr; ",PROVIDING FOR THEIR. TRANSF.ER, AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, since the adoption of the 1951 budget of the City of
West University Place, Texas, it has bec'ome necessary and: expedient to make
certain budgetary changes and certain expenditures not contemplated by said
1951 budget of the City of West University Place, Texas; and
WHEREAS, Section 8, Article 14, of the City Charter of the City
of West University Place provides that the City Commission may revise, alter,
increase or decrease the items of the budget; and
WHEREAS, it has became necessary for the City Commission of the
City of West Univers-ity Place, Texas, to transfer certain funds to certain.
depa~tII!e!lts, from the General Tax Revenue Fund, and such expenditures for such
departments were not contemplated at the time of the approval of the budget
of the City: of --West . University Place, Texas, for the year 1951; and'
vrHEREAS, it has become necessary to reduce the Water-Sewer Operating
Fund unappropriated surplus so as to ~cquire and purchase certain fixed
assets,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PUCE, TEXA~:
Section 1. That there is now an una.ppropriated cash surplus in
the General Tax Revenue Fund of the City of West University Place, Texas,
in the amount of $12,835.26, which amount has not previously been appro-
priated for any purpose and which is now available for appropriating by the
City Commission. The funds so available from the General Tax Revenue 'Fund
are the following items representing receipts as follows:

Section 2. There is hereby transferred from the General Tax

Section 3. That the unappropriated surplus of the Water-Sewer
Operating Fund is hereby reduced by the sum of $3 ,085 .00 which sum is
hereby appropriated for the following items for the Water Department:
