ORDINANCE NO. 501
AN ORDINANCE ~mNDING ORDINANCE NO. III OF THE CITY OF WEST
UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS, BY CHANGING THE TERMS OF SECTION
33, SUB PARAGRAPH 3 THEREOF IN SUCH MANNER AS TO CHANGE THE
CHARACTER OF NOTICE TO BE GIVEN BEFORE ADOPTING ANY PROPOSED
AMENDMENTS, SUPPLEMENTS, OR CHANGE; PRESCRIBING THE FORM AND
MEl'HOD OF SUCH NOTIFICATION; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE
SHALL TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FORCE IMMEDIATELY FROM AND AFTER
ITS PASSAGE AND APPROVAL AND PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST
UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS:
Section 1
That Section 33, sub-par?graph 3 of Ordinance No. III of the
City of West University Place, Texas, be, and the same is hereby amended,
so as to read as follows:
"A public hearing shall be held by the Board of Commissioners
before adopting any proposed amendment, supplement or change.
Notice of such hearing shall be given by publication one time
in the official newspaper of the City or a newspaper of gen-
eral circulation in the City and in addition thereto, the
Board of Commissioners shall mail notices of such hearing to 11'0'
the petitioner and to the owners of property lying within
200 feet of any point of the lot or portion thereof which in
the judgment of the Board of Commissioners would be affected
by any proposed amendment, supplement or change and to all
persons deemed by the Board of Commissioners to be affected
thereby, such owners and persons shall be determined according
to the current tax roll of the City of West University Place,
Texas, and the publication herein referred to and the mailing
of ,notices shall be done and made at least fifteen days prior
to the time set for the hearing.
Section 2
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
insofar as they conflict are herewith repealed.
Section 3
This ordinance shall take, effect and be in force immediately
from and after its passage and approval.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 24th day of Janua:ry, 1950, by a vote
of h Ayes and 0 Noes.
