I AN ORDJ;NANCE ~ING ORDINANCE NO. h08 OF THE CITY OF WEST
UNIVERSITY -PLACE, TEXAS, IN SUCH MANNER AS TO PROVIIiE FOR THE
ALLOCATION OF ,TWENTY FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS OUT OF THE AMOUNT
APPROPRIATED IN THE 1948-1949 BUDGET OF THE, CITY OF WEST UNI-
VERSITY PLACE AND CREATING A FUND FOR THE DEPOSIT OF SUCH SUM
OF TWENTY FIVE, HUNDRED DOLLARS KNOWN AS THE FIRE TRUCK REPLACE-
~T FUND; DECLARING THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF AND REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.

WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 408 dated September 27th, 1948 there
was appropriated in the 1948-1949 budget of the City of West University
Place, Texas, the sum of Twenty Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-Five ($20,655.00)
Dollars Which was allocated to the Fire Department of the City of V{est
University Place, and
WHEREAS; it'has become necessary to set up a plan for the re-
placement of one of the pieces of fire-fighting equipment in the City of
West University Place, Texas, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary in order to finance the purchase of
said equipment to allocate for said purchase certain unexpended 'funds now
on hand and chargeable to the Fire Department of the City of West University
Place, Texas,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS, that there is hereby appropriated for the
purpose of making a future replacement of fire-fighting equipment of the
City' of West University Place, Texas, the sum of T-l1enty Five Hundred
($2500.00) Dollars out of the funds now on hand and chargeabie to the
amount of money heretofore appropriated for the Fire Department of the City
of West University Place, Texas, by the provisions of the 1948-1949 budget
which are incorporated in the schedule referred to in Ordinance No. 408 of
the City of West University Place, Texas dated September 27th, 1948'.

, The City Treasurer of the City of \Plest University Place, Texas,
is hereby directed to establish with said sum of, Twenty Five Hundred
($2500.00) Dollars a fund to be known as the Fire Truck Replacement Fund
and he is. further directed to deposit said sum of Twenty Five Hundred
($2500.00) Dollars in the City National Bank of Houston, Texas, to the
credit of said Fire Truck Replacement Fund.

This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage
and all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
