AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 111; OF THE CITY OF vOOT
UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS, COMMONLY KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS THE
"ZONING ORDINANCE", BY AMENDING SECTION 4 THEREOF BY ADDING A
NE1JlI SUB-PARAGRAPH, TO BE KNOWN, AS NO.9, PERMITTING THE ERECTION
AND CONSTRUCTION OF A CHURCH IN A SPECIFIE:D PART IN THE FIRST
SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE
SHALL TAKE EFFECT AND BE IN FORCE IMMEDIATELY FROM AiW AFTER ITS
PASSAGE AND APPROVAL.
WHEREAS, by' res olution of the Board of Commissioners of the City of
West University Place, Texas, adopted at a regular meeting of said Board r
May 23; 19h9, it was determined, upon recommendation of the Planning Com-
mission of the City, to hold a. public hearirig with reference to amending
ordinance No. 111, commonly known and designated as the "Zoning Ordinance",
and
WHEREAS, notice of such hearing was duly published as require'd by
law, and said Ordinance No. Ill, and the date al1d hour specified therein was
June 13th, 1949 at 7:.30 O'clock P.M., at the City Hall within the City of
West University Place, Texas and
WHEREAS, said hearing was duly and seasonably held on the date
specified and the subject matter of this 'amendment discussed at length.

THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C01v1MISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That Section h of Ordinance No. 111 be amended by the insertion
therein of a new sub-paragraph to be known as 1t(9)1t which reads as follows:
"Church, Church buildings and appurtenances on Lots 3 and 4,
Block h, West University Place, First Addition, in the First Single-Family
Dwelling District.1t

All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, in
so far as they conflict, are herewith repealed.
Section 3.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately from
and after its passage and approval.
