ANdRD:;rNANCE PROHIBITING THE DRIVERS OF VEHICLES FROM
ENTERING CERTAIN DESIGNATED INTERSECTIONS WITHIN THE
CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS, WITHOUT FIRST
BRINGING SAID VEHICLES TO A COMPLETE STOP; DEFINING
TERMS; FIXING A PENALTY FOR. THE VIOLATION OF SUCH
REGULATIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF'THE ORDI-
NANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CJTY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST
UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS:
1.

That from and after the date of passage of this ordinance it
shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle to cause the said vehicle
to enter the following listed Street intersections within the City of
West University Place, Texas, when traveling on the designated streets,
without first bringing ,said vehicle to a complete stop.
(a), The intersection of Bellaire Boulevard ano. Stella Link
Road,: when trav~ling on Stella Link Road.
(b) The intersection of Bellaire Boulevard and Mercer Street
when traveling on Mercer Street.
(c) The intersection, of Bellaire Boulevard and Sewanee Street
when traveling on Sewanee Street.

(d). The intersection of Bellaire Boulevard and Westchester.
when traveling on Westchester.

(e) The intersection of Bellaire Boulevard and Rutgers Street
when traveling on Rutgers Street.
(f) The intersection of Bellaire Boulevard and Vanderbilt
Street when traveling on Vanderbilt Street.
(g)' The intersection of Bellaire Boulevard and Belmont Street
when traveling on Belmont Street.
(h) Tqe intersection of Bellaire Boulevard and Brompton
Roa~when traveling on Brompton Road.
(i) The intersection of Bellaire Boulevard and Annapolis
Street when traveling on Annapolis Street.
(j) The .intersection of Rice Boulevard and Weslayan Street,
when traveling on Weslayan Street.
(k) The intersection of Rice Boulevard and Academy Street.
when traveling on Academy Street.

(1) The intersection of Rice Boulevard and West Point when
traveling on West Point.
(m) The intersection of Kirby Drive and Amherst Street when
traveling- on Amherst Street.
(n) The intersection of Richmond Road and Community Drive
when traveling on Community Drive.
(0) The intersection of Richmond Road and Simmons Street
when traveling on Simmons Street.
, (p) The intersection 0+ Sunset Boulevard and Edloe Street
when traveling on Edloe Street.

By the term vehicle as used herein is meant every device in,
upon, or by which, any person or property is, or may be transported or
drawn upon a street.
111.
Any person who violates any proVJ.s~0n of this ordinance shall,
upon conviction, be fined in any amount not to exceed $100.00.

IV.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the pro-
visions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. This ordinance shall become
effective immediately on its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 1.8th day of April, 1949, by a vote of
4 AYES and 0 NOES.
