AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $85.88 OUT OF THE FUND TO
THE CREDIT OF STREET, PAVING AND BRIDGE BONDS, 1946 TN THE CITY
TREASURY, TO PAY THE CITY'S ADDITIONAL PA..'lT .OF THE COST OF PAVING

SECTION NO.1: RICE BOULEVARD FROM THE -;'VEST LINE OF
KIRBY DRIVE TO THE lNEST LINE OF BELMONT STREET; AND I
SECTION NO.2: WAKEFOREST STREET FR01.[ THE NORTH LINE OF
RICE BOULEVARD TO THE NDRTH LINE OF PLUMB STREET,
AND DECtARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the City Treasurer has duly and regularly, in accordance
with the provisions of the Charter of the City of West. University Place, Texas,
certified to the City Commission that there is in the City Treasury to the
credit of Street Paving and Bridge Bonds, 1946 the sum of $85.88 which has
not been already appropriated for any other purpose and which is now avail-
able for appropriation by the City Commission, and is sufficient to pay the
City's additional part of the cost of paving and improving certain portions
of certain streets.in the City of West University Place, Texas, hereinafter
set forth.LN'OW~~,THEREFORE, :

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF vVE$T UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS:

Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated out of the fund in the
City Treasury to the credit of Street Paving and Bridge Bonds, 1946 the sum
of $85.88 to pay the City's additional part of the cost of paving and im-
proving: "
SECTION NO.1: RICE BOULEVARD from the West line of Kirby
Drive to the West line of Belmont Street; and
SECTION NO.2: WAKEFOREST STREET from the North line of
Rice Boulevard to the North line Qf Plumb Street,
and the Mayor and City Treasurer are hereby authorized to draw warrant or
warrants against said fund hereby appropriated, or such portion or portions
thereof as may be necessary to pay and discharge the obligations of the City
of West University Place chargeable thereto.
Section 2. The fact that the improvements on the above portions of
the streets hereinbefore defined have been completed and the Contractor has
tender~d to the City the assessment certificate to be purchased by the City
pursuant to prior agreement, and that an additional appropriation is required
to consUmmate such p~chase creates a public emergency and, therefore, this
ordinance shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction, this, the
4th day of January, 1949, and shall take effect immediately upon its passage
and approval of the Mayor.
