, AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $lO,OQO.OO OUT OF THE FUND
TO THE CREDIT OF STREET ,IMPROVEMENT BONDS' SERIES 1948 IN, THE-
CITY TREASURY TO PAY THE CITY'S PORTION OF THE COST OF PAVING AND
IMPROVING:

MILTON STREET FROM THE WEST LINE OF AUDEN STREET TO
THE EAST LINE OF COLLIDE STREET;
RICE BOULEVARD FROM THE EaST LINE OF COLLEGE STREET
TO THE EAST LINE OF WESLAYAN STREET;
AND DECLARING AN IiMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the City Treasurer has duly and regularly in accordance
with the provisions of tneCharter of the City of West University Place,
Texas, certified to the City Commission that there is in the City Treasury
to the credit of ,the S~reet Improvement Bonds Series 1948 the sum of
$lO,OOQ.OOwhichhas not ,been already, appropriated for any. other purpose and
which is now available . for appropriation by the City Commission; and which
sum is sufficient,to pay the City's portion of the cost of paving and im-
proving certain portions of certain streets in the City of West University
Place, Texas; hereinabove and hereinafter set forth, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS:
Section 1: That there is hereby'-appropriated out of the fund to
the credit of Street Improvement Bonds Series 1948 in tbeCity Treasury the
the,sum of $lO,OOO.OO_to pay the City's portion of the cost of paving and
improving: '

MILTON STREET from the West line of Auden Street to
the East line of College Street;
RICE BOULEVARD from the East line of College Street
to the East line of Weslayan Street,
as more specifically specified and described in Ordinance No. 423 dated
October 25, 1948; and the Mayor and City Treasurer are hereby authorized to
draw warrant or warrants against said fund hereby appropriated to the extent
of said sum or such portion or portions thereof as may be necessary to pay
and dis'charge the obligations of the City of West University Place, Texas,
chargeable thereto.
Section 2: The fact that the portions of .the streets hereinbefore
defined and heretofore ordered improved are in need of impro vement as promptly
as possible cre~tes a publie,emergency and therefore this ordinance shall be
passed finally on the date of ' its introduction, this 22nd day of November,
1948, and shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the
Mayor.- , ' ,
