AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $-36,000 OUT ,OF THE
FUND TO THE CREDIT OF STREET IMPROVEMENT BONDS SERIES 1948

IN THE CITY TREASURY TO PAY THE CITY'S PART OF THE COST OF
PAVING AND IMPROVING:
SECTION NO.3: UNIVERSITY BOuLEVARD FROM THE
EAST LINE OF WESLAYAN STREET 'ra THE EAST LINE
OF COMMUNITY DRIVE; AND
_. SECTION NO. $;: RrcE-~BODLEVARD FROM THE WEST
LINE OF ,AUDEN STREET TO' THE EAST LINE OF
COLLEGE STREET,
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the City Treasurer has duly and regularly, in accordance
with the provisions of the 'Charter of the City of West University Place, Texas,
certified to -the City Commission that there is in the City Treasury to the' credi t
of the Street Improvement Bonds Series 1948 the sum of $36,000 which has not
been already appropriated for any o"ther purpose ana- Which-:ts hOW- available for
appropriation by the City Commission, and is sufficient to pay the City's' part
of the cost of paving and improving certain streets in the City of West Uni-
versity Place, Texas, h~reinafter set forth; NOW, THEREFORE:
BE'IT ORDAINED'BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS:

Section 1. That therei:s hereby appropriated out of the fund to the
credit of Street Improvement Bonds Series 1948 in the City Treasury the sumo!
$36,000 to pay the City's part of the cost of paving and improvipg~

Section No.3: University Boulevard from the East line of
Weslayan Street to the East line of Community Drive; and
Section No.5: ,Rice Boulevard from the West line of Auden
Street to the East line of College Street.
Section 2. That said sumo! $36,000 is hereby appropriated out of the
fund to the cr~dit of Street Improvement Bonds Series 1948 in the said City
Treasury; and'the Mayor. and City Treasurer are hereby authorized to draw warrants
against sa~d fui;1.cLin sBJ-d sum of $36,000, or such portion or portions thereof
as, may be :~eG.~~ry td'.~y _;pnd,.cU.sch~rge the obligations of the City of West
University Placejchargeable thereto.
Section 3. The fact that portions of the street hereinbefore defined
and heretofore ordered improved within the limits stated are in need of im-
provement as promptly as possible creates a public emergency, and, therefore,
this ordinance shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction, th:i.s the
11th day of October, 1948, and shall take effect immediately upon its passage
and approval of the Mayor. '--
