AliI ORDINANCE , REGULATING AND PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF VEHICLES IN
THE 3700 BLOCK OF UNIVERSITY BOULEVARD AND IN THE, 6200 BLOCK OF
EDLOE STREET IN THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS WITHIN
SPECIFIED HOURS: DEFINING TERMS; FIXING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION
OF SUCH REGULATIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF THE ORDINANCES
OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN, CONFLICT HEREvVITH
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF liVEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS:
I.
That it shall be unlawful for any person to park any vehicle within
the following described areas in the City of West University Place, Texas bet-
ween the hours of 7:30 o'clock A.M. and 4:30 o'clock P.M. on any day except
Saturday and Sunday.
(a) That por~ion of the west side of the 6200 block of Edloe
Street which lies between the north line of the intersection
of Edloe Street and University Boulevard and a point 370
feet to the North thereof.
(b) That portion of the 3700 Block of.University Boulevard'
, which lies between a point 161 feet West of the west line
of the intersection of Edloe Street and University Boule-
vard, and a point 392 feet East of the East line of the
intersection of Auden Street'and University Boulevard.

II.
That it shall be unlawful for any person to park any vehicle for
a period in excess of thirty minutes within the following described areas in
the City ofT1est University Place, Texas between the ho~s of 7:30 o'clock
A.M. and 4:~0 0' clock f;.M. on any day except Saturday and Sunday.
(a) That portion of the 3700 Block of University Boulevard which
lies between the west line of ' the intersection of Edloe Street
and University Boulevard and a point l61 feet to the West thereof.
(b) That portion of the 3700 Block of University Boulevard which
lies between the East line of the intersection of Auden Street
and University Boulevard and a point 392 feet to the East theDeof.
III.
By the term vehicle as used herein is meant every device in, upon
or by which any person or property is or may be transported or drawn upon a
street.
By the term parking as used herein is meant the standing, of a vehicle,
whether occupied or not, except that it shall not include temporary standing
for the purpose of, and while actually engaged in, loading or unloading.

Any person who violates any proVlsJ.on of this Ordinance shall upon
conviction be fined in any amount not to exceed $50.00 (Fifty Dollars).
V.
All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict with the pro-
visions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
This Ordinance shall be come effective immediately upon ,its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 15th day df .September, A. D. 1948, by a vote
of 5 ayes and, 0 noes.
