AN ORDINANCE- APPROPRIATING THE 'SUM OF $56,000.00 OUT OF THE FUND TO THE
CREDIT OF STREET PAVING AND BRIDGE BONDS, 1946, IN THE CITY TREASURY TO
PAY THE CITY'S ESTIMATED PART OF THE COST OF PAVING AND IMPROVING:
SECTION NO. I: UNIVERSITY BOULEVARD FROM THE WEST LINE OF
KIRBY DRIVE TO THE WEST LINE OF BELMONT STREET; AND
SECTION NO.2: UNIVERSITY BOULEVARD FROM THE WEST LINE :OF
BELMONT STREET TO THE EAST LINE OF SEWANEE STREET; AND
SECTION NO.4: THE NORTH HALF OF UNIVERSITY BOULEVARD FROM
THE EAST LINE OF LOT 5 TO THE WEST LINE OF LOT 4B, ALL IN BLOCK
44, WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, SECOND ADDITION, ,
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Pity Treasurer has duly and regularly, in
accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the City of West Univer-
sity Place, Texas, certified to the City Commission that there is in the City
Treasury to the credit of the Street Paving and Bridge Bonds, 1946, the sum
of $56,000.00 which has not been already appropriated for any other purpose
and which is now available for appropriation by the City Commission, and is
sufficient to pay the City's estimated part of the cost of paviilg and
improving certain portions of certain streets in the City of West University
Place, Texas, hereinafter se.t forth; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST
UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS:
SA~t.;on '. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of
$56,000.00 to pay the City's estimated part of the cost of paving and
improving:
Section No. I: University Boulevard from the west-~ine
of Kirby Drive to the west line of Belmont Street; and
Se~t.i on No_ ? Universi ty Boulevard from the west line
of Belmont Street to the east line of Sewanee Street;
and
Sect.; on No '1. The North Half of University Boulevard
from the east line of Lot 5 to the west line of Lot 413,
all in Block 44, West University Place, Second Addition,
SA~t.; on ? That said sum of $56,000.00 is hereby appro-
priated out of the fund to the credit of Street Paving
and Bridge Bonds, 1946, in said. City Treasury; and the
Mayor en d City Treasurer are hereby authorized to draw
warrants against said fund in said sum,' of $56,000.00

or such portion or portions thereof as may be necessary to pay and dis-
charge the obligations of the City of West University Place chargeable
thereto.
Section 3. The fact that portions of the streets hereinbefore
defined and heretofore ordered iniprovedwi thin th~ limits, stated are in
need of improvement as promptly as possible creates a public emergency and,
therefore, this ordinance shall be pa,ssed finally on the date of its
introduction, this, the 2lst day of June, 1948, and shall take effect
immediately~pon its passage and approval of the Mayor.
PASSED this 2lst day of June, 1948.
