AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. .
, WHEREAS, the City TreasurerhasduJ.yand regularly; in accordance
with the provisions of the Charter of the City of West University Place,
Texas, certified to the City Commission that there is in-the City cTreaS1lry
to the credit of the street Paving and Bridge Bonds, 1946~ tl:1~' sum of
$10,000.00 which has not been already appropriated for ariy other purpose and
which is now available for appropriation by the City CoDlJlission, and is
surficientto pay the cost of -paving and improving cert81D.streets in the

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF ,THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY
PLACE, TEXAS:
, Section, 1. That there is hereby' appropriated the sum of $10,000.00
to pay tne cost of paving and improving:

Section 2. That said sum of #10,000.00 is hereby' appropriated out of
the fund to the credit of Street Paving and Bridge Bonds, 1946, in said
City Treasur.r; and the Mayor and City Treasurer are hereby-authorized to
draw war,ra.nt o'r Warrants against said"filiid'in said sum of $lO,<XJO.OO or such
portion or portions thereof as may be necessary to pay and discharge the
obligations of the City of West University Place chargeable theretO.
~ection J! The fact that portions of the street hereinbefore def'ined
and heretofore ordered improved within the limits stated are in need of
improvement as promptly as possible creates a public emergency, and, therefore,
this ordinance shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction, this
